Jimny 1300 cc bad fuel consumption problem

Hello all respected group members.

My jimny 2012 jldx 1300cc pakistani model giving average of

6.5 km /litre in city without ac
9 km / litre out of city without ac
5.5 km/litre with ac in city

Is it bad or ok

If it is bad then what is solution.

It also takes long starting

How many KMs driven?
What tyre pressure u keep?
Tyre size and mention brand
what sort of traffic? urban, extra urban, highway?
Which grade of oil you are pouring?
After how many KMs u replace spark plugs?
Ever changed its fuel filter?

Assalam alaikum sir

1.City is mirpurkhas

2.tyre pressure 24 front and 26 rear

3.tyre 205 70 r15 95s.

15inch tyre with alloy rims

4.traffic is urban

5.zic blue which i used same in my xli corrola

6.plug is recently changed
Install ngk small sharp pointer plug

7.fuel filter is same not changed

But fuel pump is changed along with it's motor

wa aliakum salam.

1. if you have plain roads then use 30 psi tyre pressure. it will make ur rid bumpy but you will get used to it. you will experience a marked increase in fuel economy. the tyre pressure data on jimny tells 26 psi or 28 psi when fully loaded. i think 24 psi shouldnt be used.

when i use 26 or below i find the ride spongy. when taking high speed turns it even feels to sway. 28-30 psi gives better feeling although it becomes a little bumpy.

1. you should have changed the filter as well while changing pump. what happened to original pump? did u get original pump as a replacement or some other chinese brand? what was the cost?

2. oil should be 10w30.

your ride is surely consuming too much fuel for urban traffic. check fuel pressure. injectors or get them cleaned. and also the pump.

Sir some mechanics in my town suggest to change the oxygen sensor of jimny 1300 cc for improving the fuel consumption it may cost 7k .

May i go.for it ?

First see if it really needs replacement. Any bad readings from it? check engine light?
