Joined the Civic Club. suggestions needed

I hv just joined the Civic Club, bought a Rebirth 2014 manual.
advises / suggestions from the elite members are requested please regarding everything including (but not limited to) maintenance, fuel consumption as well as Saving, Oil changes, Care, Software, computer system etc etc...

Salam, As we just recently bought a Civic 9th Gen (2013) shape and could not find its fan Club on Pakwheels. So making one, all who own this car or want to own one are allowed to share their views, problems, pics etc of their car. For getting best from your ride, please look for following things:

1. Use fuel from good and reputed brands, and fuel stations, preferably company operated and maintained fuel stations. Total and Shell are the finest fuel stations IMO. PSO is also good. Attock may be sincerely avoided.
2. Always have the AC / Cabin filter, and Air filter neat and clean. Clean / Replace when dirty, and past its life, but not later than 10,000 Kms / 01 year, whichever comes 1st.
3. Use 5w-30 fully synthetic engine oil, from any of Shell, Total, Kixx, Caltex / Havoline, or even PSO. Just ensure that oil is 100% authentic, and change oil + oil filter after every 5,000 Kms / 06 months whichever comes 1st. Top-up the engine oil, if its level drops in-between. (10w-30 by Caltex / Havoline, or at max. 10w-40 fully synthetic by ZIC can also be used, if reqd.)
4. Always use genuine products, be it filters and plugs, etc.
5. Avoid fancy, imported and expensive engine oil brands, etc.
6. Have throttle body fully cleaned / serviced after every 10,000 Kms, by fully removing it.
7. Same is true for spark plugs for every 10,000 Kms. Replace them when they are past their life.
8. Also have the fuel injectors inspected. If they are choked, have them cleaned from some competent mechanic.
9. Always have the wheels balanced and aligned, after every 10,000 Kms.
10. Always keep Tyre Pressure maintained as per company recommended pressure. Running under-inflated tyres reduces fuel efficiency, as drag force and friction between the road and tyres increases.
11. Let go of any additional luggage in the boot compartment / diggi, etc. if not reqd.
12. Have brakes serviced after every 10,000 Kms, and replace brakes pads when they are past their life.
13. Try to drive with soft foot.
14. Have Cat. Conv. serviced / cleaned, if / when choked, but never via acid. It'll severely damage it.

Etc... Etc...

These are some of the points to keep in mind. I am quite hopeful that by following about steps, and maintaining maintenance intervals, you'll get the best from your ride. IN SHA ALLAH.
