There are two jeep tracks to reach Leepa from Reshian (As far as I know).
1) Reshian - Dao Khan - Mauji - Kappa Gali - Leepa.
In my view this is more scenic and beautiful. Although it is longer as compared to the other direct route. Also there are a couple of streams on this route. Also it is much more closer to the LOC as near Mauji the LOC is merely 2KM from this track. There are a few Army Check posts (I think 3 to be exact) and they confirm your passage from Reshian check post. So make sure that you have the "CHIT" given to you by Reshian post with you otherwise you might be spending a long time there arguing with them.... Since we had it with us so it was a matter of 10 min. entry....
2) Reshian - Reshian Pass - Leepa.
This is the shortest and the most used path to go to main Leepa village. It has the famous 72 turns and the highest point is roughly 10,000 feet.
So it is advisable to go to Leepa from one way and come back via the other... This way you will enjoy both paths. We also had our jeep wala agreed to take us via Reshian Top and return via Mauji route. But in the morning he said there will be some problems if we return via Mauji route so we should go via Mauji and return via Reshian top... I think the only reason he did was to save some diesel as I don't think there is any problem in returning from Mauji.....
