Just Purchased a Car with Original 2nd Book and Original File but the First Registration Book is Missing (Mentioned as Cancelled on the File)...What to Do?

I recently bought a 2nd hand car City Automatic model 2009, after making the payment, the owner offered me to get the car transferred on my name because he knows people there. After 2 days when I went to collect my documents, he gave me a registration book which is basically 2nd registration book, and he told me that the first one is missing, and in the original file the 1st book is mentioned as cancelled. He didnt share this information at the time of payment. And now he is telling me to take him to court because he cant help me and he is not even taking the car back. Please let me know what to do?

Car with duplicate books are sold at price less then market. Ask him to return some money.
Other wise you will not face any problem while commuting on car with duplicate book. its acceptable by all law enforcement agencies.

Brother sorry to hear that. Firstly you should have checked it at the time of giving the token. To me the only possible way out is to fight legally means in court as the mistake is on your side. Rest believe in Allah and hopefully the matter will be solved.

It will be of no use to fight this in court. Did you sign a formal agreement with the seller? Please check and see the conditions of the formal agreement.
Further, you will lose a lot of money if you go through a court + lawyer expenses and cases drag on for ages.
The only way out is if you know someone in Police/Army who can call this guy and make him understand that he has done something wrong.
Otherwise, just forget about it and consider it a lesson learned. And always check the book/registration copy of the car before buying and go to the excise office yourself when transferring the car.
