^^^ What is the issue with the air:fuel ratio?

til the second gear the car runs perfect,on third gear when it crosses 5k rev the car seems to loose power n get heavy,the power band was till 6k rev but not its till like 5k rev,in the first 2 gears it the power band is till 6k

what i noticed it,the car's economy has improved alot,it used to do 100km in first quarter of the tank now doing 140kms,

from previous experience of same thing happening in a friends turbo lancer,v tuned the car electronically n increased the fuel spray by two points,which solved the problem

i think my car is lacking fuel when it comes to high end torque,so leading to the conclusion to make the fuel richer slightly.

this is the reason when i raced with the 01 city i was ahead in first two gears with almost half a car gap,as soon as i shifted to third gear the gap deacreased the city was almost parallel n that car has longer gear ratios as compared to my car

It sounds like you are on the right track with solving the AFR issue.

yea i guess will get it done after exams,im making the car for my self,not to prove whos faster n whos not ,i got a few challenges n i declined em all saying, u win,be happy.

btw wt do u think of a short shifter???im thinking to get one but in my point of view if i install a short shifter the car would go in wheel spin unless n until i install an aftermarket clutch

The short shifter will make gear changes quicker due to the different leverage of the linkage, at the cost of some increase in effort, but WILL NOT affect the clutch in any way (since the linkage goes to the gearbox and has nothing to do with the clutch) or wheelspin (which is related to traction and smoothness of clutch engagement).

first of all i would suggest u to buy a spare grill like i did
i heated the edges of the mesh n pushes em inside the grill,as the grill is plastic n the mesh it metal,it melts the plstic n goes in,i double did it by applying elfi latter on so it dsnt come off anyway which worked well for me
u can even see a burn mark on the grill

+1 with the levarage but the quciker i shift n if im unable to ground the power like from first to second gear ,my wheel spin would increase,in order to control the wheel spin i would need stronger clutch :S

I would stay away from tooling the flywheel, unless it is warped or glazed and I cannot find a replacement. Heavy tooling can change the pinch pressures and cause other problems too.

You will get used to the new style of shifting pretty soon and not have a problem with wheelspin, I can assure you.
