Kaghan Valley: Latest Updates for 2012 season

I just heard from some locals that the glacier / avalanche has been cleared, i mean a track for jeeps and good ground clearance vehicles has been made in between it and now traffic is crossing easily...

Can anyone confirm the road conditions from Kaghan till naran???

Great news that Shugran is open, but other BAD news is that in Karachi schools holidays will be in July and Aug. So we have to wait one more month now

How is the road till shogran, it was indeed in a very bad condition in nov last year and also in april end thisyear???

Once glaciers are cleared even Suzuki FX can go to Naran so no worries for your probox

Normal car has less ground clearance then this

I hav a probox and found it a bit low profile than City. Last yest I went to Naran in city and not happy of its ground clearance esp a few patches just before Naran, so as probox is more lower than city, so its better to increase it

Buddy, i have a city 2011 and last year i went to naran in may, we were in total 5 ppl in the car with all the stuff in trunk but i had no probs till kaghan. city easily reached shogran and just hit the ground bumps twice and till kaghan it was great but after that there are 8 to 10 patches that will surely trouble any car twice or thrice. I again visited in nov and 2 to 3 patches were cleared and i was in corolla and it also hit the bumps thrice (only 3 ppl in car). Hope all the patches arebeing repaired and pray that road conditions improves like murree rd from kaghan to naran and for shogran.

Went sohgran and naran last year, July 2011, on Mehran with two heavy people, no problem at all.

mehran have short wheel base .... i have seen mehran in those places where only 4x4 can go due to its ground clearance and short wheel base

i remember when i reached Malam Jabba in heavy snow wioth chains on my Mehran wheels and 6 ppl. 4 inside and 2 on roof.......

and when i said mehran is jeep i ment metaphoricaly. i have owned it for 5 years i know its not a jeep
