Normally a budget of around 25K should be enough for 3,4 day trip.

You will have to negotiate with jeep drivers at the spot for the areas u want to visit.

Salam to all when the whole Naraan valley till Babusar Pass will be opened for travelling considering the current condition of Naraan and long winters in the area blockage any rough idea does anyone have when it will be opened. My initial plan to visit in the last 10 days of June, should I have to change this plan and time to move further ahead like first 10 days of July.

Another question when the dangerous Rainy season starts in Kaghan valley which also the main reason of Landsliding.

But yaar what about the rainy season when exactly that starts either it's normal from 15th July or it starts earlier there, and that part of Halalalala is very hectic and tiring not kool we went there for peace of mind and hala gulla not good for the beauty of the valley.

Ramazan will be starting around 20 July inshallah and usually rains start after mid of July.

So, u can plan your trip between 1-15 July and all routes will be open by then inshallah.

In last 4 years, Babusar Top has been opened within June so lets hope the trend continues this year also.

Deadman, the monsoon is very unpredictable in Kaghan and Naran valley. visited Naran last year in Nov and the rain started from when i crossed Abbottabad and was with me till naran and due to which i reached Naran at 9pm which was a really difficult drive. I was driving my Honda City 2011 model and it hit the road several times after Kaghan. Usually the monsoon starts in June and continues till Mid August but travelling to these areas in such season is very much enjoyable and full of adventure. U just have to take some precautions if u are traveling with family and if not then not to worry. Heavy machinery is always available to clear the path 24hrs. Naran starts getting green after Mid June and the best of Naran is in end of July (which will be Ramazan) and start of November when u will get snow at jheel and other areas. Well, this year, i will suggest you to visit these areas after Eid ul Fitr. I am also planning to visit in 1st week of Sep as it will be all green a little bit of rains, low clouds and strong running Kunhar river.

An advise, i was told that all roads are clear till naran in nov 2011, yes the roads were clear but for jeeps. The road was perfect for cars till kaghan and after that, till naran, the 40km patch is a disaster for cars having lower road clearance. So if the locals say the road is clear, it means, its good as per them as those poor people doesn;t know much about ground clearance of cars. so be careful at times after u cross kaghan.

NDMA said that this year worst flood of Pakistan history will be expected, and it might be hit all areas of Pakistan (Allah na kere). Moon Soon this year would be very furious so Allah Help us. we are planing after Eid for sum Good trek like Karomber Lake or Qamri Gali so see what happen with weather and us.
