The road from Naran to Jalkhand is one of the most beautiful black top road in Pakistan.
Anyone can go to Jalkhand in any car after Glacier cleared.

Any idea when the road till Babusar top and Surgun (Neelum valley) through Noori top will open, if anyone has tried these areas before?

Just talked to a guide in Naran. He was saying that one can go only 3km towards Saif-ul-Malook Jheel by Jeep and the rest is not cleared and dangerous for even hiking. Secondly, he was saying that one can go as far as 20-25km towards Jalkhad from Naran on own car and the rest will take at least 20-25 days to clear-up.

Faheem, as stated above by Pakwheelers, road till Jalkad is in great condition and any car can reach easily once the glaciers / avalanches are cleared and that i think will be done by mid june as FWO / NHA teams are working on it. U can easily reached Jalkhad and the sceneries are great compared to other areas. After crossing Jalkhad, U have to reach Babusar Pass and U can also carry your car to Lulusar lake but I will suggest you to hire a jeep from Jalkhad for the same as sometimes there are some bolders or rocks that can disturb your car's suspension, U can but dont take any risk as u have to drive back to on ur car and anything can happen anywhere.

Just be careful and use your mind and vision. Also, the locals will always say that the road is great but their great means it can be easily crossed with jeeps and heavy cars.

Thanks Zubair. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I wish that road to Jalkhad is cleared completely till Jun 8 or 9 (since these are the dates I have planned my trip) with family. Let's see...!

Another Update from Naraan:

I called the guide last night around 10:30pm. According to him, Road to Saif-ul-Malook is accessible till 5km. Remaining 4km is still not open and u have to trek it. A week more, till jeeps can go till the end.

Secondly, road to Jalkhad will take another 8-10 days to clear. Get ready then...!!!

sometimes I really dont know how to react over such news...with the sheer number of visitors heading towards saifulmalook we decided to spare it off 4 more visitors last year.. I feel so sorry for the poor lake ... they had to close down jeep access to paya region as the greenery was getting destroyed...there should be a solution to this situation

I second your opinion Irfan. Access to these beautfiul places MUST not be on the cost of getting the greenery destroyed... and "cleanliness" is another factor that we must take notice of. Always take responsibility that we MUST NEVER throw shopping bags, garbage, plastic bottles, wrappers and boxes in open...

I purpose a TAX for entering the Kaghan Valley, something like PKR 5,000 per person this will stop people, and the people who litter PKR 1,000 per litter done. KPK people hire 500+ people to implement this, the tax will auto pay itself for the salary

500 or 1,000 I guess, We need to TAX everything... even air!!!

edit: fyi if your referring to my signature and my love to fish, I pay a good part of 'tax' money to the village I go fishing from.
