Hi , Planning on visiting Shogran coming weekend , would be really nice if some one lists options for staying overnight in Shogran and also most importantly can we take own car(Civic/Corolla) uptill shogran?

Also is their some car parking spot available in Kiwai (if one has to take jeep uptill pine park resoort)

The whole area of Kaghan, naran and beyond naran is called Kaghan Valley. There is a settlement/town have the name of KAGHAN too which comes about 24 km before Naran Town. SO road till Kaghan town was already cleared and 24km patch between kaghan and Naran is about to clear(as ice cutting machines are working to open the road till Naran)

Thanks but I wasn't talking about this. I was actually referring to earlier posts where people were talking about road under construction. May be I misunderstood construction with clearance.

Hi!

Thanks to your advice, checked on the hotel rates with Mr. Abdul Rasheed of Pine Park. According to him rates for rooms will be PKR 4.5k, 5.5k and 6.5k for different categories. Rates will however double after 1st June as soon as the season starts.

Am planning to go with family (including 10-15 adults and 5 children, toddlers mostly) Naran and Kaghan for the first time this year. Been planning since last 2-3 years and wish to execute it this year Inn shaa Allah! My original plan is b/w 7th to 15th June. However, to save on budget, is it okay to visit b/w 15th to 30th May???

The Driver's cell remained engaged throughout so couldn't contact. Will appreciate if you could advice on Jeep rentals, food preparations? Would jackets be required to protect from cold? Hotels like Pine Park and Royal are too expensive for a large family like mine. Will appreciate your advice on economical hotel (not cheap but reasonable).

we are planning to visit Naran,Shogran,Siri,Payee on 31st May 2014.
can anyone please confirm that road will be accessible on 31st May or not
and what about Swat,kalam side, will it be accessible too easily ?

What is its authenticity and that cars can go till inside the city. I guess many have contacts with hotel staff or jeep drivers in Naran. I shall be grateful if people can confirm this via personal contacts. I remember, last time once I visited Naran in May 25, we still made it till Naran but by parking out cars outside the city as Three big glaciers were still intact right in front of the town.

This can also be true as FWO has to continue building the Naran Chilas Road, so they must be planning to start earlier.

Kindly reconfirm as I would love to visit the area in April.
