i wud say that road condition of kalm to mahudand is much better than that of lalazar. distance is abt 25 kms.....
now there will not be glaciers on the road. they have been cleared....

yes u will find many glaciers on ur way hopefully. one is in mitiltan village....

yes i have learnt from a fellow pakwheeler "conflicted" that the road is in good condition and security situation is also well so u can go there by car

no yar in 1 day u can reach mallam jabba from kalam but not return.....

the track form behrain to kalam takes much time to cover......

u have to stay 1 nite at mallam jaba

I also have the plan to vist Kalam once the school vacations start, after reading Asif whole thread i think it will be better to stay in white palace near mingora so that our journy breaks and on the same time you will be able to visit Margazar and white palace, i think these places are must to see on the way.

yes i think u can and shud book rooms in advance.

yar u shud visit White Palace in Mrghazar and in seanson u can visit Byun Village Near Kalam. it wud be a nice trip.

i think these destinations are enuf for a family trip

definitely a must c place. but ofcorse Kalam and its Lakes are also a real attraction. dont miss them
