Karachi-Hyderabad M-9 motorway

Could anyone please give an update on the M-9 patch between Sohrab Goth and Bahria Town, Karachi?

About eight months ago when I travelled on it, it was in horrible shape, but work was going on (of course at snail's pace).

I will appreciate an update. Thanks.

I passed from there on 6th Dec 17 it was still the same.

Thanks for the info. We may get some latest update on this from someone who has travelled on M9 in 2018.

Passed from there last week. It's still bad but not very bad. You will have to drive at an speed of 10 KM/H for a few kilometers. But even when the working patch ends the road has potholes which makes the travelling quite unpleasant until Motorway Toll (where you collect the card).

Went to Bahria Town yesterday. Took the N5 - M9 link road beyond Hadeed. I think they are constructing an interchange in front of the Bahria Town entrance so there is no U turn till the Toll Plaza if you take the link road or are coming from Hyderabad. Although there were road signs that a U turn is coming up but that was closed. A lot of road works on that stretch on both sides of M9. Approaching Sohrab Goth you will find chaotic traffic also partly due to road works on the centre track on both sides but what is even more disturbing is the traffic crossing (all kinds of vehicles).
