DAY 7, 8: Stay at Karimabad

Next day early in the morning, I got my car checked at Aliabad.. Found a petrol car mechanic named Shahbaz (nice guy.. I have his number if any of you need any car assistance), he opened carburetor and adjusted black flexible rectangle object he called butterfly. He said it was not controlling the flow of petrol into the carburetor which caused this black smoke. He made some adjustments along with tuning distributor's timing and the car was perfect again.
It was decided that we will stay here for two days before moving on to Sost. So we left Baltit Fort and Duikar/Eagle's nest for second day since we were tired when we reached Karimabad. Little did we know, it started raining on second day.. "when life gives you lemons.."
so we got to the roof of hotel and enjoyed rain (and ofcourse the view) from there until it stopped raining.
After lunch, we left for Baltit fort. In a heroic moment, I decided to take my 86 Corolla loaded with family all the way up to the car parking area of small polo ground which is more or less 45 degree inclined from where I was. Half way up there, when car started to lose RPM, I realized my mistake.. To save the effort, I request a nearby hotel manager to let me park my car their and we'll be back in 30 minutes. He agreed and we start walking from there.. I was carrying my son, so naturally, all of my energy drained on the way to fort. Our tour guide at fort allowed us to take photographs of objects and inside rooms etc. will share here as well.
My son fell asleep on our way back to the car, and we had to visit Duikar/Eagle's nest, so, my wife and I left everyone else at home and left for Duikar. Not sure when this guide saw our blue corolla, but when I asked him if I can take my car to Duikar, he said the blue 86 corolla in which you came here? Yes it will go..
It was already 6 when me and my wife left for Duikar.. and the road was too steep with sharp turns.. we almost made it to the top when on a turn I dropped revs and car almost came to an stop on a turn. It wasn't moving after the turn.. Google maps said we were 2 minutes away from Eagle's nest when we decided that its already getting dark and even if we get to the top, we will have to drive back to the hotel in total darkness. So we returned from there. I still regret not reaching there
