DAY 9: Hunza to Sost then back to Hunza and eventually at Minapin Nagar

Our day started with a bad news.. It started raining very early in the morning at around 4 or 5am. I called PTDC Sost and they confirmed it was raining there as well.
We decided to wait a little and leave at around 9am. We had to stay at Sost today and reach Khunjerab top tomorrow.
We left Karimabad at around 9 after breakfast.. faced light showers throughout our journey. There was a tunnel around 2/3km long where my family panicked
they kept saying why this tunnel is not ending, its pitch dark and we can't breathe
Stopped at Attabad lake, took some photographs and enjoyed tea.. I wanted to take a boat ride but rain started again so we decided to leave before it gets intense. Couldn't go to Borith lake since it was a dirt track and our car could have stuck in mud caused by rain.
The moment we reached Sost, rain got super intense, I tried negotiating with PTDC for rooms first, then wandered into the streets to find any other alternate before we finalize PTDC. Stumbled upon a guy named Shahbaz, who works in customs and rent-a-car at Sost. He says he could get us a room in PTDC for 1500/- if I didn't have already go there on my own. Anyway, he got us 2 rooms at Riveria for 2500/night. 1250 each I guess. And the rooms were fine in my opinion. Anyway, we settled in our rooms but didn't take out our luggage (waiting for rain to stop) while I stepped outside to check out Sost bazaar and get an umbrella may be.
Weather did not get any better. After an hour, its intensity reached to a maximum point. One more hour later, I started panicking cause if it doesn't stop in couple of hours, it will result in heavy landslides and we won't be able to get back to Hunza. Khunjerab top was also out of question.
At 3pm, I finally decide to leave and get back to Hunza.. Staff at the hotel tried to convince me to not leave right now as it is dangerous to travel in this condition. But I was afraid that we could get stuck there for more than 2 3 days and I was traveling with an infant.
So we left Sost at 3:30pm, frightened as it was still raining pretty hard and mist/fog was circling around the road. We could barely see the road from windshield.. You could easily see the fear in our eyes..
We found some stopped cars along the way, probably broken or something happened due to rain.. this made us more afraid of the fact that we were traveling in a 30 year old machine.
Somehow we covered the distance in 1 hour and 20 minutes and reached Karimabad before 5pm.
Ordered lunch there and decided to stay at Diran Guest House instead of Karimabad again. Reached Diran guest house minutes before twilight, enjoyed their welcome Rose Qahva (must try), and took some last sunlight shots of Rakaposhi (Though I only had a wide angle lens and couldn't zoom in to get a perfect shot).
Now we had to decide if we want to visit Naltar Valley tomorrow or leave for Phander.. or stay one more day at Diran to try to forget what happened Yesterday
We leave this decision for tomorrow and sleep..
