Karachi to Lahore - Guidance required for travel in foggy weather

Dear Members,

On of my colleague is travelling from Karachi to Lahore by road with family. Kindly advice about time to leave karachi & stay overs keeping in view the foggy weather in Punjab. He don't want to drive in fog in Punjab. Further, I would appreciate if members of southern punjab area can provide details of any good family hotels and present situation of fog there especially driving conditions and precautions.

If he don't want to drive in fog then he should plan a trip after the foggy weather is cleared otherwise there is no option to avoid fog other than travelling by train.

I read in today's newspaper that 26 people killed in different accidents in a single day. Thats too much risky.
