This time my family decided to visit Neelum valley and that too by road. I left Karachi on 31st May early morning by 5:15am, from Jamshoro i took left turn on Indus Highway N-55 as the road condition on N-5 (National Highway) is not good, also recommended to other travellers to use N-55 upto city of Sann, 15 Kilometers after Sann their is newly constructed brigde on river indus (Amri - Kazi Ahmed Bridge) which shall take you on N-5 just near the city of Kazi Ahmed, their are couple of divertions between Kazi Ahmed and Daulatpur, then upto Rani pur the road is good, after Ranipur the diversions again starts and are upto Sindh Punjab border, the road conditions after Kot Subzal every body knows, the sound of car changes once one start into punjab.
I reached Bahawalpur at 07 : 00 pm, it was already planned to have a night stop over at bahawalpur, stayed in bahawalpur cantt and left bahawalpur at 08:30am on 1st June. the route was Multan, Jhang, Chinniot and embarked on motorway. have couple of stop over for lunch and prayers reached islamabad at 07 : 00pm, On 2nd took kids to some recreational locations in islamabad to on 3rd June shall be leaving for Muzaffarabad, have a night stay their and on 4th shall be going to neelum valley.
Left my car at Muzaffarabad and got a 4X4 for onward journey. the road upto uthmaqam is good and after that the road is single. the weather also changes after uthmaqam. have a night stay at jagran resort and Keren resort went upto Sharda.
On return again have a night stay at Muzaffarabd, islamabad and Bahawalpur. same route same staying places.
