Karachi To Skardu

Hello All,

I want to visit Skardu in August, I'll me visiting with my mother so we will be 2 ladies only.
I need guidance from you all that what would be the safest plan possible and comfortable as well as I'll be with my mother.
Also if anyone of you can tell me about some trust worthy driver/ tour guide who can take us by road from ISL to Skardu. We can stay in between.
Kindly help.

If not travelling by air from Karachi, then Greenline train service is best for you from Karachi to Islamabad, then you may get rented car for Islamabad to Skardu, and take the route of Naran - Babusar. This route is short and beautiful, you may stay overnight at Naran/Kaghan (your choice).

I am sending you contact number of a person from Gilgit who I trust the most. He has transport company in GB. So you may get any sort of vehicle you want for your desired destination at reasonable rates.

Skardu road is not in a good condition. If you can afford try booking by air these days. YOu may get seats on your desired dates. PIA operates 2 flights daily from Islamabad
