I have a query, i am currently engaged with the restoration of a Khyber, it will be done from tip to toe i want it to be sand blasted to be clean but i am facing following issues.
Denter says that it will increase work for no reason he will have to remove paint and putty to be able to sand blast it.
He also says that he can do the same with Steel brush fixed grinder.
Supervisor of my cousin's factory says that sand blasting will damage its metal.
I havnt been able to find a person who will be able to sand blast it.
My questions are
Do we need to remove paint and putty or these things can be removed by sand blasting?
Can it damage the body of the car?
I personally want to do it coz i know his brush cannot reach a lot of point where there shall be deposits and rust accumulated over 22 years.
what is Sand Blasting equipment
An air Compressor (denter already has it)
what about the gun that shots the sand is it ordinary gun or some thing different?
can an ordinary person perform the task of sandblasting?
what is your advice?
