Please guide me with a few problems I am having with this two stroke ke 100
condition of the bike first when i got it:
the oil pump has gunk on it, is a little bit rusty and was not used by previous owner. I am thinking of cleaning it and try to repair it. Reading online i found folks prefer running the bike on premix 32:1 instead of the pump. so that is what i am doing for the time being
exhaust pipe has some leaks where it mounts on the engine and a few holes in the shaft where some bad weld job was done by previous owner
carburettor was leaking fuel so got that cleaned. but the mechanic cleaned it with a piece of wire..i suspect the brass jets might have been damaged in the process.
When it runs it runs great, 1st and 2nd gear will accelerate nice. then in third pick is uneven.. as in, on wide open throttle it will run a little slow and then suddenly surge and go fast..
Some times when i am changing gears it will jump straight from 1st gear to 2nd gear or vice versa.. i have trouble finding the neutral where i cant hear it click into neutral
problem i am having:
was running fine for a few days but was giving heavy smoke. most mechanics told me its normal for a 2 stroker, quick jump online gave me a clue that the crank seals might be busted and motor oil is leaking into the chamber.
one day bike stopped running and mechanic checked and told me motor oil is all gone so he filled her up and it started on first kick..but it leaked bad
i think about 3 or 4 table spoon of motor oil would leak whenever i noticed after filling it
today bike refused to start again and would only start on choke. when i give it throttle it would shut down.
Last time when this happened i took it to mechanic, he put in motor oil and it started first kick. he told me bike is eating up motor oil which is normal. it needs 2 stroke engine oil+fuel+ motor oil
I am nervous taking it to the mechanic, i suspect he is not a 2 stroke pro and might do damage. He is telling me he will need to open up engine and inspect and change the damaged parts and told me total cost just for engine work might be 6k.
6k just to replace crank seals does not sound right ! :@ since im no pro i am afraid he might swap original parts telling me they are bad and put in china crap in there.
as i am using premix i think carb needs to be re jetted.. not sure.
non of the mechanics are using torque wrenches and just tighten the bolts by experience
there might be air leaks as the case may have been split and not resealed properly by previous owner. this might be causing the bad oil leak.
i would like to do compression test but don't know where i can get the pump with gauge and how do i seal the air intake and exhaust to do this. mechanics were looking at me clue less when i asked them to check for air leak and do compression test
after i get all this sorted, i plan to check the ignition timing.. i have seen youtube for strobe test to figure out ignition timing, but cant find the strobe light tool anywhere. could i make this tool myself?

any idea where a good trail bike mechanic can do the job without screwing me?
Mechanic i am planning to get work done from is Aslam at aurangzeb market, sits on MA Jinnah main road. Anyone know if he is any good? a few people in my hood told me he is the guy to talk to for kawasaki
