I wouldnt recommend installing all the interior bits just yet. When the exterior is going to be painted, the painters would need to move the car here and there and their paint-laden hands and clothes would make the interior dirty. That and the fact that while painting the exterior, over spray could go inside no matter how good they mask it and cause further headache. I'd recommend you to just install the dashboard and get the wiring done and just one seat so that the car can be tested and install the rest of the things once the exterior is painted, cut and polished.

Much have been done now.. gathered all outsourced items / parts like dashboard, seats, Matts, carpets, insulators, all electrical stuff...

AC blower and evaporator will be installed from inside tomorrow inshaAllah. Along with complete console and piping

Slow and steadily building up alhamdulillah. No stone has been left unturned. A slightest of doubts have been removed by changing the part. And that too with good one. InshaAllah it won't give any problem either mechanically or electrically. Each item has been well sought and analyzed before installation keeping in mind its pros and cons.

Five months and only paint job is completed....how can one have patience for such a long time??i was thinking torestore a ke70 but now seriously giving it a second thought..though i would love to have ke70....second khajal khawari is quite frightening..does it take that much time really????

the reason why it takes that long is simply because the denter and painter in Pakistan are simply Liars and that is why it takes too long plus if you want to get things right it will take time and yes it is a khachal khuwari ...

Its not from any branded car or something. But one thing is for sure that all are genuine items. And yes , it will be installed in its original dashboard.

There are ppl who have been restoring it for years. All comes down to money, time and patience.

are you going to use that toyota starter/glow relay to run the fans?

if you are then its a terrible idea, the coil on that relay is very small as its only made to run in short amount of time on low voltage too. If you run a fan with it - the relay will burn out very soon. Use a 40A bosch cube relay - it comes with a mounting ear on it already.
