Keeping photocopy of Registration papers?

hi friends, i have some questions regarding registration papers:

• is it legal to carry photocopy / color copy of registration instead of original ones???

• If YES then who is competent to attest that photocopy?

• If NO then what would be the penalty, if checked by the police?

-agar papers ki photocopy ho to kiya challan ho ga ya gari band ho jaye gi???

i heard that u can keep photocopy but it should be attested by ETO. (m not suure aout it)

No but the dullas make the problem for you. But you can keep colour photocopy in attested form.

yes.... u can carry a photocopy no metter coloured or photocopied but it should be attested by any officer.. grade 17 or above

in my car i dont keep the regestraion of car, i dont have a licence and but have a id card but do not carry it.i leave the book of registration at home. it has been 3 years now none of the police man stooped me for the challan nor asked me for the licence although i am below 18 but i do have an overseas id card

within the city i keep photocopy only.. its not safe to carry reg book.

while traveling outstation... keep the original to avoid problems

If u read the laws at the back side of ur registration certificate. Its written that its liable for commercial purpose vehicle to keep the orignal registration certificate in the vehicle. For all other vehicles you have to produce it on demand within few days (I think 10days).

No attestaion in required. You must have a valid driving license and CNIC at least for challan purposes. Otherwise Officer can withheld ur vehicle.

As for ppl without licences, ill say its no bravery in showing irresponsibility. The problem starts if u hit any person or car... then the prosecution will be under heavy sections. even 302 sec for murder. if u kill any person.

either u keep ORIGNAl or Photopy if White Eggs Caught You the will for surely take some (Chalan) Money from You so its better to Drive without the Ogrignal as the Theft POroblem increses Day by day .

i dont think there is any problem in keeping a color copy of few pages from the book :S ?

I HAVE THE CAR REGISTERATION card in my car

rest u mention i also dont Have except the overseas id card

got stopped many times and when he asked abt the original ..i said " first secure me and my things in this country what if sumebody steals it? and they always let me go
