Hey, i may sound stupid but this question just came into my mind, as normally from friends and other people ive heard they need to add an amplifier for Kenwood 718s to perform to there level best.
Altho im not much of a loud sound fan but there are times ure listening to songs with a decent bass and you like to have the most of it.
About a year or two back i went to buy speakers, my first choice was Kenwood 718s as for quality and brand recognition, the shop keeper showed me some cheaper Pioneers (kenwoods @ 5.5k and Pioneers @2.5k or 3.5k) and said you should check the sound quality then decide.
Pioneers sound quality was literaly better (dont remember the model number), but looking at the size of the magnet on the Kenwoods made me buy Kenwoods.
The shop keeper to me also said Pioneer mei Amp ke zaroorat nae hai.
While Kenwoods would be better then Pioneers when Amp attached.
So my question is does it realy help? or i made a fool outa my self getting Kenwoods just for brand recognition. Its been around 2 years there working a-okay and happy with the sound, gives decent bass but not as much as i was looking for. So would an amp help??
-If yes which one to go for?? (answered kenwood/solidaudio, 2 chanel with 60-80rms rating)
-Whats there price range? (this ones been answered range 3-5k)
-Whats the use of a bigger magnet in Kenwoods? (answered, needs more power/volts/Rms, nd works better with amp)
-Why was Pioneer sounding better then?? :S (this question has been answered "it was runing on required power")
-Lastly what does a built in Amp means? some people say aaj kal jo decks arae hain they got built in Amps in them")
(this one has been answered )
EDIT:
- another question added, does the woden board matter? Lasani was 500, normal for 300 i got the normal one
