Kenwood is a Big Scam! Never buy Kenwood appliances in Pakistan!

Hi, I bought a Kenwood AC worth 84,000. From Al Munawwar Electronics (The guy named Imran who sold it to us), The shop is located at Ayesha Manzil, Karachi, he told us that they're "Authorized Dealers of Kenwood".

But right after buying and installing it for the first time, AC was faulty and didn't cool not even for a single second. Kenwood guys came and checked it and found a problem. And said it needs to be changed. And today, when the guy who was supposed to change, had broken our brand new AC (Indoor).

It got scratched badly, And the guys who came from Kenwood were highly unprofessional. And now trying to give us the same scratched AC, when they have the policy to change the AC if they find anything faulty in a "New" AC. Please never ever buy Kenwood, I ended up Wasting my 84,000 rupees!

Bro, did you contact them via helpline, and / or also register complaint against them via phone, email, etc.?

launch complain and dont accept the faulty unit....its best to visit their service centre in person and simply ask for replacement

We did, the guys came, and broke our indoor, and then said "WE WILL REPAIR IT AND GIVE IT BACK" so i said, why would you give me a repaired one when it is brand new, and currently in a 3 years warranty with a change policy if any fault has been found. Yet, they're not changing it.

First the AC wasn't cooling, we applied for a change unit , they refused. Later a guy came, to take the Indoor to "Repair" not "Change" and slipped our indoor unit which hit the floor, damaging indoor unit. Then they said, they will repair the BROKEN AC but won't change it.

Filed a complaint in consumer court and they will have it replaced.

warn them that your unit didnt even work out of box and then your customer care representative damaged the unit with mishandling......

warn them of complain in consumer court. usually if unit won't work you simply involve shopkeeper and they will fight on your behalf as thing was bought brand new and it didnt work...

2ndly their condition is repair but since they damage the indoor with mishandling they shld change it ....

it was unfortunate this happen ...usually some units (box pack) are leaked and they never work...some had minor leak which will show within year after one season..... i am using kenwood inverter also and get it installed and never had any issues till date...

There's no consumer court in Karachi yet, unfortunately. A civil case has to be filed, if at all, and it is not easy nor worthwhile to file a civil lawsuit as the lawyer fee itself won't justify the issue at hand, let alone the delays aka 'tareekh pe tareekh'.

But yeah no harm in threatening the shopkeeper for lawsuit.

Take pictures and post on facebook. Try posting on different pages.... trust me, it will work. Write a nice narrative and watch social media rip them apart.

Bhai ye saray pakistani manufacturers isi tarha hain and then they say buy pakistani, ham ne dawlance ki washing mashine li thi brand new uski aik haftay ke andar kit short circuit ki waja se farigh ho gayi, then they said choohay ne tar khai isliye short circuit hua and as far as i know i have never seen a chooha in my house in 3 years and then they wont change the machine and fixed the exact same machine for us, very bad experience with these manufacturers, would rather by lg or samsung e.t.c by spending a bit more!

Their Behavior Is Also Bcz Of Many Consumers Trying To Fix Them..

UPDATE: The Kenwood guys came, and "Repaired" my AC. They didn't change it, although it was in their policy to change. I would urge people not to buy Kenwood as they agree on changing the AC if it is faulty but in my case they didn't change. My complain number was: 425225-KHI-SC-37750

I have been using multiple Kenwood appliances no problems so far.
I already have 3 Kenwood AC installed 2 inverter and 1 simple
have a kenweed food factory too no problems
