i would get any thing over 718's. don't expct much bass from speakers. though 718's have good bass but they lack in clarity and are pinching to ears at high volumes.
the jvc model you are looking at has good bass and awesome clarity. they are very good to run with an amp, if you want more bass ask the shopkeeper to give you a demo of the old model of the same jvc speakers cs-hx6956 they have even more bass than 7157's.
in the end all that matters is what pleases your ears. but if you like quality sound then 718 are not for you.
you can also check pioneer 6993 which are also good in clarity. check/hear many pairs and compare them before buying any specific brand.
