Cultus mein company sy Hydraulic Power Steering ata ha jo engine par load dalta ha like A/C

so unless car is knocking or shutting down, this is normal behavior. 2012 sy pehly wali civic mein b ye issue hota.

It is totally normal but you can install Electric Power Steering (about 7000-10000 kharcha) to lessen this load.

There is a workshop in Karachi named "Mohsin Autos" they are doing these conversions in Alto, Mehran, Khyber and FX. I think they charge 120k in total for engine, gearbox, AC, speedometer, power steering including all wiring. Check there work on Facebook page

My personal opinion would be to swap the engine. Reasons:
1- Older cars with Automatic transmission gave relatively poor fuel average as compared to the newer ones. Specially in traffic of Karachi, you won't be getting anything above 7 8 kmpl without AC if you are able to find some old compatible transmission.
2- Auto tranny cars need more care as compared to manual cars, special attention to be on the electrical parts such as generator, self and the engine wiring.
3- The load on the engine will be higher as the original auto transmission that came in these cars internationally were three speed forward ones.

Best option with getting it equipped by latest efi technology like complete setup migration of k6a or k10a with auto gear box 4spd.

this is moronic,

this is a load bearing mount and there is a reason suzuki placed it squarely at the center of engine line.

And definitely the mechanics don't have the capacity to do the calculations of impact due to the dislocation/ eccentricity of the engine mounting . So now after construction industry the Pakistanis are doing "non-engineered" Engineering in automotive industry.

If my lazy self can do that basic calculation - they should be far more better because they are professionals.

Can't say anything on the professionalism of Pakistani workshops. I think there capacities are limited to trial and error approach. As I am myself not of the relevant field can't say what they have done here but comparing it to my field of construction.

I know that most of the contractors constructing small residential and commercial buildings work the same way. They will construct the structure based on their own understanding (or thumb rules) and ignore the engineering details of steel binding, concrete mixing and then start giving you guarantees like if something happens to the structure they will handle it.

Something similar is happening here I believe. The workshop has cracked a way of keeping the car stable and vibration free and they are selling it backing with warranty.
