Khyber parked since Jan 2010

Hello,
Need an advice, I own a khyber back in Pakistan and it has been parked since 2010 on a farm house in a shed. I will be coming to Pakistan this year and planning to start it. I have been told that it has zero rust on the body and even under the body.
All I remember is that I used to drive to work in lahore, Engine was original and I guess in 2009 I installed front struts.
What should I look for when I first start the car ? Is it worth it to start it or should I just sell it as is. If it works then the goal is to travel to Islamabad and back couple of times.
Also I can bring few parts from US and if I choose to do this then the question is ....what parts should I buy from here ?

A poly urethane bushing kit if you can find one for a Japanese Swift (Khyber equivalent so I guess it will fit) will do you wonders.
Will stiffen and firm up the ride a lot.
Any sort of rust protective products that are hard to find here
Other than that
People who know more about Khybers will know better

Thank you Sir for your reply. I could not find any Poly bushings for this era car. Infact to tell you the truth I have travelled thousands of Miles here and have never seen khyber/Chevy Sprint/Geo Metro etc in US on the road.
I just received few parts shipped to me by mail, Spent $38 at Rockauto.com and free shipping with a coupon.
I dont think all the parts for this car is available here. They are mostly discontinued.
So far I got these.
1. Distributor Cap
2-Distributor Rotor
3-Fuel Pump
4-Front and rear Brake hoses.
5-Ignition Wires

Take a mechanic with your and following items when you go to pick up your car.
Look for rust. Rust cleaner.
The battery would be dead by now. 45 ampere fully charged battery. (Usually new batteries are not fully charged.)
Engine oil. The engine oil must be replaced before starting as it's been years and the existing oil is useless now.
Engine oil filter.
Air filter.
Engine flush liquid.
Gear oil.
3-4 litres of coolant.
Fuel system cleaner to be poured in fuel tank.
20-25 litres of petrol.
Carbeurator cleaner.
WD-40 rust cleaner for loosening any stiff bolts etc
Degreaser spray for degreasing any sludge from outside of engine, engine bay and mechanical parts.

Don't start until you get the engine flushed, engine oil, gear oil, air filter, coolant replaced. Pour in petrol along with fuel injector cleaner.

The mechanic should have all necessary tools.

It will take 45 minutes to get all these tasks done given that the mechanic is efficient and you have all the required items.

@carstudiopk > Will do, Thank you for your feedback. I am planning to come in december so I have time. Can any one suggest, which are the common problems that khyber has so that I can buy few more parts from here. Most of the parts are already discontinued and are very hard to find online.
I saw some cars in the junk yards online and they ship parts by mail.

I am thinking to buy
1- Fuel Hose and radiator hoses.
2- Engine Flush
3- Manual Transmission Flush
4- Clutch plate - if quality clutch plate is not available in Pakistan. Over here I saw one in $40 by Exedy Japan and $100 for the kit (which includes, Bearing, Throw out bearing, Pressure plate, Clutch plate and grease ), I dont know how much it is in Pakistan now a days.

any input or suggestion will really be appreciated.

Also, About taxes,
How much are the taxes for almost 10 years on a khyber ? How does it work; like Do I need to pay pending 10 years taxes first to get a life time Token in order to bring the car on the road ? Govt website is not accessible for me.

Clutch & Pressure plate set for Khyber is easily available in Pakistan.
F.C.C Japan is a good brand and the price for complete set (clutch plate, pressure plate & bearing) is around Rs. 6,500/-

if u can easily carry them to PK, buy them.

it is true that all the parts are available here, but i can bet the parts u buy from there will be far better quality as compared to PK as i can see the above pics of fuel pump, distributor etc.

rest all the parts are easily available in, u just need to find the right one.

Get Brakes Serviced ...Wheels Might Be Jamned!

Remove fuel tank...get rid of any rotten fuel...clean and install back with fresh fuel....replace fuel lines rubber if they are hard.

replace fuel pump it may be dead or leak...check coolant flush and pour new

new tyres..old must have gone hard and useless

Check and replace rest of lubes...dont try to crank unless all of this work is done!

bhai jan, i guess we need not to worry, I was trying to search for khyber part number list. a friend here shared a link to me about khyber part number. sharing that below - basically its from a autopart shop in dubai. if we work together as a team than we can ask them for discount on khyber parts.
