My khyber is not going over 120 Top Speed on petrol/gas any idea its 96 with genuine engine. The engine is in perfect condition and milage is also not bad. My old khyber 89 use to go with overhauled engine top speed 140+ on cng dont ask petrol

yaar to be very honest with u,i ve a 96 khyber as well and it reaches 140 in just 4th gear.havent tried more than that though,but in 5th i would definetly go to 160 or 170.

i cant believe it with factory fitted stuff it can maximim reach to 110 in 4th 140 is over it means u dont need a 5th gear in ur car.
Is it modified? Sounds like if it really touches 140 then it must be modified can u upload a movie ot pictures

my old 91 model khyber goes like bullet man, KHYBER iz da best of all Suzukis, 150+KM/hr

If you've got a khyber model 1989 or older, you'll definetly be able to take it to respectable speeds; provided your engine is in solid condition. Experts and owners of the older model khyber say that the chassis is solid like a diamond- the pakistani made khyber is a bit so-so.

check wheel alignment and balancing. dont forget its a decade old car and a possibility of meter error cannot be ruled out!!

Well, I have 2k model and i have taken it to 145 km/h (with 4 ppl seating) in 4th gear on petrol (no CNG kit).
and i think it cant go beyond tht .may be with 1 person it may go further

BTW it took very long time to reach there .

guys please tell me about the vibrations at these high speeds...my khyber vibrates alot at 120 on cng..never tried on petrol.

Isnt 120 km/hr enough? No road in pakistan allows more then that.

i was once clocked at 165km/hr by motorway police about 5 or 6 years ago on my 96 khyber which was stolen in 2003. too bad i was fined 750Rs.
but i guess its a hell lot of speed for a small car. we should be more careful.

I am also one of those people, who have taken the Mehran to its full meter. It was scary. Never tried doing that again. 4 years have past but still I can't free my mind of that terror.
