Why would you wanna do that? Do you want it for performance? If yes, then run its 1300CC engine on petrol, add a couple of mods and you should have a very good performer.
Im using one and I've found the 1300CC engine more than adequate, even on CNG. Please do tell us about your interests in the Spectra engine.

yes need it for performance, problem with its original engine is its carb, 2nd its not so fuel efficient, also about mods, i already have alot of stuff in and i think its quite fast then regualr classics but sometimes on cng its not so good,also if ur going against a civic then u cant beat it... thats why

Sir a few months earlier I say the kia spectra's qabli DOHC 16v engine which was quite clean and the shopekeeper was demanding around i think 16k which was quite good. The shop was in Mitho khan ka Ahhatta in rwp.
And as far as the performance is concerned I don't know about this engine but the daewoo DOHC 16v engine's performance is awesome as I own a daewoo racer with that DOHC my self and I smoked a honda civic swaped with D15B (3 stage Vtech) quite easily at Rev it up event at Bahria Town phase 9.

the price is quite reasonable, and yeah i know there are a few shops in pindi who has this engine but i actually needed the engine number , so that i can check weather it would fit in or would i need modifications ... ive seen kia with Z5 engine or B5 engines, which are bolt on swaps no modifications in the mountings etc, i am also looking for a clean swap ... so that no problems in future... looking for help waiting
if u want to drive on petrol than spectra engine is best if cng than no coz performance decrease 50%
but yar am asking about the engine number of the spectra's 1.5 engine..... doesnt anyone own a spectra ?????????????

@ipod its called 1.5 BFDyou can get a 1.8 too from peshawer.1.8 engine code is T8D

its not the most fuel efficient engine in the world by the way. hp is 87 in 1st gen kia spectra. 1st gen kia spectra is way way more heavy than any car in its category btw.

but cant understand what u wanna know?? r u asking for type. as on engine it is clearly written DOHC 16V. N I M USING IT ON CNG. NO PROBLEM FROM SPEED.
@ spectra and aref i'll check that , and any idea about the mountings? cuz ive read that b5 and z5's are bolt on swaps and about the 1.8,wont that be too heavy for it ?
also 87hp is not so gud ... ive read that b5 and z5's produce 105hp+ will check again..
and why is it similar in looks to deawoo's engine , any coincidence? also what about the parts are they available easily? for overhouling etc?
and dont u guys think that mazda's B5 or Z5 would be a better option ? although torque of spectra's engine is also gud ,
