yes need it for performance, problem with its original engine is its carb, 2nd its not so fuel efficient, also about mods, i already have alot of stuff in and i think its quite fast then regualr classics but sometimes on cng its not so good,also if ur going against a civic then u cant beat it...

Sir a few months earlier I say the kia spectra's qabli DOHC 16v engine which was quite clean and the shopekeeper was demanding around i think 16k which was quite good. The shop was in Mitho khan ka Ahhatta in rwp.

And as far as the performance is concerned I don't know about this engine but the daewoo DOHC 16v engine's performance is awesome as I own a daewoo racer with that DOHC my self and I smoked a honda civic swaped with D15B (3 stage Vtech) quite easily at Rev it up event at Bahria Town phase 9.

the price is quite reasonable, and yeah i know there are a few shops in pindi who has this engine but i actually needed the engine number , so that i can check weather it would fit in or would i need modifications ...
ive seen kia with Z5 engine or B5 engines, which are bolt on swaps no modifications in the mountings etc, i am also looking for a clean swap ... so that no problems in future...

if u want to drive on petrol than spectra engine is best if cng than no coz performance decrease 50%

you can get a 1.8 too from peshawer.
1.8 engine code is T8D

its not the most fuel efficient engine in the world by the way. hp is 87 in 1st gen kia spectra. 1st gen kia spectra is way way more heavy than any car in its category btw.

i'll check that , and any idea about the mountings?
cuz ive read that b5 and z5's are bolt on swaps
and about the 1.8,wont that be too heavy for it ?

also 87hp is not so gud ... ive read that b5 and z5's produce 105hp+ will check again..

i dont know about B5 sohc's hp figures but B5 dohc produces 110hp and in some countries even 130 hp.
but then again, its availability is doubtful.
spectra's engine is quite toned down engine. it has a Siemens ecu and kia has used there own fuel maps. As far as i remember, 1.5BFD has more torque than a dohc B5 [110 hp]
but a stock spectra motor produces 160-165 whp easily and safely when turbo charged.

and yes, 1.8 will be quite heavy but it was just a suggestion.

and i have no idea about daewoo and its engine. maybe daewoo has also borrowed engines from mazda like kia did in early days.

bro are u sure about these figures cuz ive looked alot on the net and i couldnt find these figures....
thats why i am now planning to turbo charge the exsisting b3...what do u say ?
its kind of a DIY project cuz i'll be doing everything myself...and then later on i can swap the engine
