Below is something I wrote earlier this year when the vehicle was launched.
The " GUV "
The all new 4th generation Carnival a.k.a Sedona.
Everything ground up & inside and out. The design philosophy is the combination of SUV styling with the utility of minivan. That’s why KIA calls it a “GUV” a grand utility vehicle and not a MPV.
Its larger, wider and longer than before with increased cargo space behind the 3rd/ 4th row. The 4th row is available as an option . There is an option of 7, 8 or 11 seat configuration. Reclining 2nd row seats are also an option for the 7 seat configuration.
New headlights with newly updated brand's Tiger Nose grill integrated into optional LED headlights and taillights with full length light bar . In the inside, everything is new. Optional 12.3” digital cluster and 12.3” infotainment display.
As of engines, there will be 2 V6’s and and one diesel engine. A 3.5-liter MPi petrol engine @ 268 HP and 332 NM OR a 3.5-liter GDi V6 with 290HP and 355NM. The diesel is a 2.2L Smartsteam diesel with 199HP , 440NM of torque. 8 speed automatic is standard on all versions with FWD. Fully independent rear suspension with hydraulic bushing setup for comfortable ride.
