I'v come in Jeddah after 18 years,
I was expecting a lot of Mercedes and BMW's as when I was here in 1994 I used to spot Mercedes on every signal and street. But now Saudi's are only buying KIA's and Hyundai's now, new Camry has been launched here 3 weeks ago and I have hardly spotted 5 Camry's on streets.
The reason being, KIA's and Hyundai's are offering a lot of standard features in their models which aren't being offered in full option models of lots of other cars and secondly Saudi's now change car after every 2 years, and Mercedes / BMW drop their resale value.
Plus I was expecting Range Rover to be the hot favorite here, but in last few years Range Rover was unable to provide good after sale service so I have spotted only 4 Range Rover sport so far and NO Range Rover original, same is the case with Jaguar.
Audi is also not being purchased because of low resale value, and I feel so sad to see all this.
