Is it just me or is the price tag actually justifiable considering the engine capacity and tons of features? I cant think of any other car in pakistan from this category (v6) with such features below 5 million. Correct me if im wrong.

Carnival is a luxury 7 seater. Dont compare it with BRV. That thing is a joke.

This thing looks expensive because it has no established market here otherwise the features it offers the price is ok. Around 4million for top spec would have been a steal.

We need small cars.

I never understand what exactly we as a nation want. First, we applaud new car manufacturers and abuse the current manufacturers and as soon as the new entrant comes we start with the bashing game once again. As already mentioned by some people it's a 3.3L 6 cylinder brand new (CBU) minivan with every feature we ever asked for. What price bracket should it fall into? Can all of you complaining care to enlighten me ?
First we cry for features and when new entrants introduce them we cry for increased prices.

They'll launch other models in sequence when they're able to assemble ckd's locally so calm down ppl. No automaker is stupid enough to only bring a V6 van to a country like Pak and get done with it, they know where the mass market lies but handling it on imports isn't possible.

Exactly. They have been constantly telling people on facebook that this is the first phase of launching which includes CBUs. (Btw, a v6 CBU with these features below 5 million is pretty good). They mentioned that they will launch the knocked down and locally manufactured units later on in the second phase. Also, if a car with these features is priced reasonably, we can expect lower variants to be priced reasonable as well. I for one am really happy about new companies setting foot here.

The biggest factor in pricing is the duty/tax structure.

Btw features and engine displacement are impressive. Looks good for a MPV too. Wish it were a SUV with similar features and engine. That would be awesome.

Also wondering if the tax structure is different for MPVs and SUVs coz I dont think a SUV CBU with a similar engine and features wouldve made it in this price range. Does anybody know?

Being an 11 seater i think it targets hiace category. This full option beast is way better than a hiace with tons of features than what the hiace has and a bigger engine with warranty than the imported hiace. I mean companies that buy hiace for transport would be buying these in bulk . Its also better than the Fortuner. i mean 90% of the people buy fortuner and never take it offroad in that case this is way better at less cost even if you dont need 11 seats

Any new automaker that pledges to invest in a Greenfield assembly facility in the country gets many of those taxes exempted on I think first 200 units they import under new autopolicy so they can test the product in the market.

Otherwise this would easily be up there at 15-20m bracket with our taxes just below LC LOL.

what is wrong with you???? its perfectly justifiable price as it is a CBU which tends to suffer custom duties and yet it s not a feature stripped version, 4 years warranty and a high specs engine, yet you are here expecting a free car with or buy one get one offer.

there are so many things wrong with your opinion..
market is not the same as it was back in 90s,, people know kia more than ever,, Kia has a very respectable reputation,, yet here you are blowing, hitting on their reputation and you didnt even need any certificate or qualification for that??? how could you point zero credibility???? let the car make it to the market, let it spend some time, let kia try out what auto enthusiasts think about this one, keep your extreme bias to you until proven correct, why it is so hard to do for a lot of the people around here??

Freaking great car at a very very reasonable price. It is a proper luxury 7 seater. Between 4-5 million it is totally worth it, specially when vezel goes atound 3.5 to 4. What people should realise that the good things are yet to come. It seems that they will be priced decently.
