I own KIA Picanto Automatic Mercury Blue from December 05, 2019. I owned older version Cultus and then PKDM Wagon R. I have no experience of driving other cars but JDM Passo. I have driven it 750 Kms so far. Have consumed two fuel tanks, within city first fuel tank averaged 12 Km/litre and second one on motor way averaged 15 km/litre as per consumption on cluster meter 6.6 litre per 100 km, where as on manual calculation it was 14km/litre.
This car has a very good built quality without an iota of doubt both interior and exterior. I also purchased all three accessories alloys 55,000, LCD screen 25,000 and floor mats 3000. Alloys and floor mats are excellent but LCD is not Android, no navigation and no reverse camera so a bit disappointing.Compared to my previous cars it's a luxury car like Mercedes. Front two seats are very comfy. Drive is excellent. I feared it will be underpowered but it's not, it has ample power for 1000 cc better than passo may be due to power to weight ratio or body to weight ratio whatever it is and comparable to Wagon R. As per owner manual RPM should between 2 to 4 for first 1000 Kms. On motor way when RPM was 4 I was at speed of 130 km/h and it's engine is not noisy like other 1000 cc cars and at 120 km/h car is very stable at RPM round about 3.7 and even at 130 it was very stable. Sound Quality is very good. Back seat space is not bad, I am 6"1 and i can sit back not totally cramped behind my driving position. People with height of 5"9 and less will easily adjust with comfort behind my seat. Cabin is soundless and suspension is very comfy gives me feeling of a sedan if I am not over exaggerating. Getting in and out of car is not a pain in ass like mehran and old version Cultus both front and back. I miss two things in car retractable mirrors and light adjustment. Yes on motorway I drove in fog at morning and heated mirrors worked like a charm. I have not driven new Cultus but I believe it is far superior just look at auto transmission, night mode mirror, adjustable head rests, full flat rear bed, interior quality far superior. I have not driven new Cultus so cannot comment on ride quality but it is 10 times superior than 3 lakh less expensive PKDM Wagon R.
@haaziq your oil will be changed at 5000 right? Dealership have shell helix HX7 5w30 synthetic blend API SL where as recommended is API SM and new one is API SN which is of course backward compatible. As per owner manual 5w20 is recommended for best fuel economy but at the same time it says in middle East don't use 5w20. What oil you going to use , I m more inclined towards Zic 5w20 or total 5w30 which is fully synthetic and Are API SN.
