Kia has Greenfield status for next 5 years. 0% duty on machinery they imported. For next five years no income tax no sales tax. Whereas suzuki pay 2-3 lakh tax on each tiny puny alto as per the invoice.

It will be a real, real shame if they price picanto above 1.5 mil. Although its a 1000cc but still with all the benefits they have under greenfield status they can easily price its at 1.5 because its an obsolete model so CKD price is not thay much.

Well that's not the complete picture. Suzuki uses mostly locally manufactured parts while Picanto's parts will mostly be imported hence will have a higher price becoz more the imports, more affect the 156 rupee dollar has and higher the price of car gets..

According to KIA Faisalabad, Price would be less than Cultus. And they are saying manual variant could be around 15-16 lakh which I highly doubt. Booking starting from tomorrow

I don’t see any authenticity on these price. Alloy and LCD are optional. If one opts for these the price would go beyond 23 for Auto.

I think there's a possibility this is right for the introductory prices and later adjusted somewhere between wagonr & Cultus gaps
I don't see them trying to bring an old variant with stripped off features just to go and kill themselves by pricing it equal to Cultus but well, who knows.
