It'd have been better if they didn't launch it, just gonna hurt their image lol.

It's better to launch cars like Sportage where no competitor exists instead of launching something in the most competitive segment here when you can't price it at a point where it'll actually sell.

Cultus AGS is for 1.975 Mil. and you got a whole new option with proper AT at 1.99 Mil. Good enough, as for the options in the market.
Healthy for the competition too, I guess, unless they are playing us (like future Big 4 mafia lol).
The price point would've been almost amazing if they've launched the newer generation, yeah the economy is going haywire and all but still not valid enough for the public to assimilate.
Being totally open and positive towards new entrant, In my view, it will still sell and give problems to Cultus in future while WagonR is already on ventilator the moment Alto arrived. So, good for the market and good/bad for the consumers.

Actually the problem is that the devaluation and massive jumo in pricing has simply stun everyone and we still haven’t been able to absorb the fact that PKR has depreciated more than 50% in 1.5 yrs so so the math...

So I tried to locate some fuel economy figures for this engine. Here it is from overseas and manual. and will not apply directly to PKDM Picanto.. also these are offical figuers here and real life figures are always different. Like many people reported 6.8L per 100 in real life tests in UK.

But, this is for Euro 5 engine
Pakistan has Euro 2

Also our fuel is not as good as overseas.. expect our Picanto to have much different numbers

People ran towards JDMs because of how much quality, options, safety they offered for the same money as compared to local crap, this Picanto being not very different to the aforementioned local crap will not have the same appeal.
I wish Kia well but I don't see Picanto being as successful(if at all) as it could've been had it undercut the cultus in terms of pricing or had it been the newest generation with generous equipment list.
Yes, It will be another option for the buyers, just not the preferred one.

I myself own a Passo 2015which i got fresh import last September... 4.5 grade 26k odo, pearl white, climate control, factory HIDs and keyless entry n pushstart and i was thinking to swap it with Picanto hoping for decent pricing and some good features and options... but now...
No go simple

I don’t knw why but their Sportage strategy was great but they completely lost track here in this one.
