I think in current market situation the fair price of picanto would be 50k less than cultus vxl for manual and 70k less than vxl auto.. Even if they have to trim few extra features that would make more sense. What was the benefit of the brown field status if they cannot match suzuki cars which are already over priced than their actual worth.

I hope in few days they reduce the price. I think by the time dollar reach 150, price reduction will be due.

Yes exactly. Other colors are in stock so still available for booking. black maroon were already on order. I havnt seen a blue WagonR ever.

I think that KIA's timing of launching Picanto was a big blunder. If they would have launched it at the time of launching Grand Carnival they could have easily priced it around 15-17 lac along with giving all features like sun roof/push start etc which are available in this car world wide. If they would have done that this car would have sold in thousands.

Greenfield status has far far faaaar more incentives to brownfield status. Brownfield status was only given to established but closed plants.

For picanto to be somewhat value for money, they should at least include MP5 panel and alloy rims in the price of automatic 20 lac.
