I am looking for a car to be used as second car by wife. Keeping reliability of Japanese cars in view, I decided to go for PKDM Alto AGS. Now i have been advised by someone that if you are going for a PKDM Alto by spending 16 lacs why not to extend the budget a little and go for kia Picanto which is a better car than Alto.
Need opinions on this, please. Regards!
For secondary car Picanto is good. You can consider Cultus aswell. But keep in mind, you won’t get good fuel mileage from Picanto.
If fuel economy is not issue, Picanto all the way.
Alto is good if your only concern is fuel savings and you are not interested in drive comfort or safety of your loved ones.Picanto is a better overall package if you are ok with 13-15 kmpl average.
YES. Instead of 660 cc hatchback, 1000 cc hatchback is better and preferable, if affordability is not an issue.
Kia Picanto has better build quality but less fuel efficiency when compared to Cultus AGS.
Cultus AGS has just so-so build quality.
If your main concern is fuel efficiency, go for Cultus.
If your concerns are reliability, good build quality, with some compromise on fuel efficiency, go for Kia Picanto.
If you want a faster car that is more fuel efficient then go for suzuki cultus. Also bear in mind that cultus has an advantage over picanto when it comes to parts availability. Not only you can buy new parts from dealership, but from scrap market as well (of suzuki celerio) depending on your budget

Yes Picanto has less rear leg space as compared to Cultus but its not that considerably cramped. For 6 feet person rear space is just ok.
