How is the AC performance of picanto? Considering temperature reaching 40+

Picanto's AC performance is better than Honda City, I have both!

You do need to use sun-shades like any other car though.

I checked both cars today. Picanto auto delivery end of October if booked today.
Saga November delivery.

Saga cbu model quality is genuinely good for the price. Overall, if saga ckd quality turns out to be as good as the cbu, and you don't mind the longer body, I would go for the Saga. Picanto interior quality feels better. But it's a smaller interior and smaller engine. Both run the exact same Hyundai 4 gear autogear box. Saga will have more power.

Right now though, in my opinion it's impossible to go for saga as we don't know what the build quality will Be

KIA people have goofed up somewhere, may be greed. They have booked beyond their capacity all cars. I cancelled my booking of sportage few days back. My delivery was April and now they were telling me June tentative. May be in Aug, so I went for cancellation though loosing my money. Very disappointing behaviour of KIA.

Totally agree. Have checked saga and was impressed with the overall package (price vs product) but again a million dollar question, will local assembled car be as good as cbu? Record says NO till date.

I heard lately, saga bookings are closed for now with deliveries going beyond Jan/Feb 2022. Picanto if booked in May will be Oct/Nov 2021. But reading posts of other colleagues here, it seems oct/nov is also difficult.

There’s a shortage of microchips/semiconductors globally and production of cars, computers, gaming consoles, etc. is all affected because of it. Other auto manufacturers (local or international) are also facing delayed production timelines. In USA the auto makers have approached Biden to allocate a quota of microchips for them.

Honda engines, honda car ACs are considered best, what are you talking about? Have your city checked by a decent ac mechanic. Whcih model is it?

The Auto gives

11-13kmpl in City with AC
16-18kmpl on Highway

Don't compare it with Cultus / Wagon R as those are Manual variants.

City ac is excellent. I used it for years and always had to lower the blower speed after some time

The quality of AC gas matters a lot too. Cheap chinese gas won't cool as much as good american gas. And here gas comes in large lots so either almost all the AC guys will have good gas or almost none of them will have good gas. Honeywell Genetron is a good gas.

The government has decided to penalise auto manufacturers, in case of failing to deliver vehicles to the consumers, within two months, after booking orders as per new auto policy.

Guys I have also booked Picanto Manual transmission in May 2021 and have tentative delivery date for July 2021. Can someone please confirm is it also being delayed? Manual transmission picanto. Thanks
