Well all these pictures are from international model showing international variant safety and equipment. When it comes down to Pakistan, the air bags will be left to two. I mean Toyota IMC dont even offer VSC standard which is only on top of the line Grande and the same top of the line grande has only two air bags. Its hard for me to believe that Vios/ yaris will come 7 air bags. Yes it comes with 7 but un fortunately not in Pakistan. This lesser saefty and equipment/ features is brand wide means Honda do same. Corolla and Civic comes with standard curtain and front air bags as well as VSC outside Pakistan.

I am optimistic but maybe I dont see this happening to this Vios . I hope and pray we see it.

I fail to see the purpose behind this pricing when A) dollar has lost 5 to 6 rupees and has stabilized around 155, b) sales are alltime down going around 50% of the total volume.
Question arises why? Why can't they price is right and actually focus on increasing sale volume and achieving economy of scales rather than selling few but very high priced products.

That's what usually a 'Local Manufacturer' does. But unfortunately, we don't even have an automobile manufacturer let alone 'local'.
And their (KIA/Hyundai) mindset of pricing it above Suzuki products might seem a bit off but see it from the perspective of a local, we place priority in expensive things (well they are usually better too) and KIA/Hyundai are yet to build a good reputation/representation among masses in Pakistan. So, they'll try to be a premium brand in Pakistan this time around. (Maybe using pricing and quality both)
Also, the economic situation may seem a bit steady (for being down) right now but it is still not feasible for a brand new product launch. That too, with imported parts/assembly etc.
Still hope for the best.

As per some sources (appear to be reliable), Picanto is expected to be launched between 15th to 20th September and price will be around Rs. 1.8 million for Manual Variant and Rs. 2 million for Auto Variant

I was about to buy Local used JDM PASSO , just read the post. If its confirmed that KIA is launching PICANTO in september 2019, then should i wait sometime for PICANTO or just go for PASSO.

I mean to ask PICANTO Vs PASSO ..

Kindly reply with all details of the both in comparison. JazakALLAH to senior or any other members who have knowledge of the both. Ur detailed answer on this can help to decide which car should be considered between PICANTO and PASSO. Its my hard earned money to buy a personal car.
