Finally my picanto M/T got delivered yesterday delivery month was supposed to be april

Ill post some pics tommorow. One problem is the drl. Is there any option to turn it on with the headlights. Other thing is if i my car parked at night with the car being on how do i turn of the drl. In my elantra if i pull the hand brake the drl turns off but not in my picanto.

Take out the DRLs fuse if you want them to stay off.

There's no way to keep it running with the headlights without an electric modification which would result in a warranty void.

I know what you are getting at the problem is if im with family at night and i park within the city every person comes upto me to tell me that my fog lights are on. Just now some people in a rickshaw were pointing at me to turn my lights off

Upgrade for Headlamps

The concept of DRLs is still not common with masses. Mostly DRLs are integrated in the main head lamp. But where its not people generally point it out. Never had this issue with civic but i have people pointing at the Drls of my yaris. They think i have forgotten to turn the light off during the day

At night if the car is on people rarely bother to point out unless........

Kia should have offered fog lights instead of these silly DRLs. I wonder who their technical advisor is. Really. He/she needs to get better knowledge about cars, in general.

This is a standard feature from the overseas model though! Not something specific to Pk market.

Other markets had either no lights, DRLs, foglights or a combination of both DRL and foglights. Foglights would have made much more sense than DRLs.

Yes, delivery time is one month as communicated by dealerships in Lahore. I am planning to book Picanto manual variant after a lot of confusion finally conviced to book picanto over Cultus. Hope the decision will not be regretful.

I got it from someone i have been buying for over 6 years he sources them from abroad. Well worth the upgrade light is much better now. I can pm u his number and price.

Cultus is the latest model in the countries it is sold in whereas Picanto sold in Pakistan is the previous generation. Since you are going for a manual transmission car then I would suggest Cultus over Picanto. Cultus is supported by a wide dealership network in Pakistan, spares available everywhere, excellent resale. Picanto is yet to build itself up in these areas.
