Brother I’m indicating towards glory 580 that car gives the typical Chinese feel with flimsy plastic all over and cheap looking head units etc I am well aware of Chinese cars and have always praised the Geely and saic products MG and Proton but rather then looking at Chinese cars as a whole you should look specifically at glory which was compared by a way more superior car up above

Just had my eyes on one(Sorento) and God it looks bland as a loaf of bread, POC compared to a facelift Fortuner.

Doesn’t Fortuner looks bland to you as well as it has no features at all not even sunroof and has an underpowered petrol engine compared to a v6 in Sorento
Plus what’s even do big about facelift there is literally nothing changed at least for the petrol variant except lights and grill it looks more like a Honda atlas type facelift to me as we won’t be even getting legender here

Look man you seem like a big time lover of crossovers but for me the best of both worlds can only be experienced within the respective vehicle classes, for comfort and daily driving its the usual sedan for me and true off-roader if I have a tough assignment at hand, Plus these "Fechuurs" dont excite me a bit. Longevity is the game. Spending close to 10 million on a "Mom-Van" is not my thing.
Objectively the Fortuner is much more well proportioned and "modern looking".

And Fortuner is underpowered and uncomfortable I think you don’t know that
Sorento has a lot more power in v6 and more comfort plus what’s the point in buying a 9 million plus Fortuner that doesn’t even have basic features like parking sensors and sunroof
Not to forget that top of the line Fortuner is 1 million + more expensive then top of the line Sorento
I have kept an 4*4 petrol Fortuner from 2017 and sigma diesal as well and hated every bit of the petrol
Sigma was better in performance department but still was lacking in other segments
Plus 99% of the people who buy Fortuner don’t even take it off-road at all
If you want an off-roads better buy something like a Tacoma
Fortuner is not as good of an off-roadster as you might think

I will much rather prefer a car with better performance and comfort then one that can go off-road as I won’t even be taking it off-road in the first place

99% using it on-road doesn't make it a bad off-roader, and enlighten me about the differences in the Tacoma and Fortuner's abilities, given both having 4x4 low-ratio Transmission.
As for comfort I have already mentioned that nothing can beat the Sedan, definitely not any crossover.

Unconfirmed news BUT there is already a 600K premium on Sorento. If book today, delivery is July..

*Fortuner has more power as sigma diesel is 450NM while Sorento V6 336NM
*Fortuner is not million plus from sorento as sigma is 9.15m while V6 is 8.4m diff of 0.75m

Now lets see what Fortuner has and sorento doesn't,
Fortuner has paddle shifters sorrento doesn't
Fortuner is 4x4 sorento V6 isn't
And other lttle things like cool box,voice command infotainment etc

Fortuner is based on the Hilux. You arnt aware of how capable and robust this platform is off road.

Comparison isnt fair between Sorento and Fortuner though.

Yes that’s what I’m trying to say Fortuner and Sorento are of different classes one is a decent off-roadie and uncomfortable and the second is not capable of going of road and is made for city driving and is way more comfortable

Sorento is a good car. Its sad we got a older generation. I was in the market for a seven seater and was looking forward to Sorento but the old gen put me off so settled for something else.

The guy above is right. It looks outdated and bland.
But its a good mover for 7 people.

You think the cool box and voice commands in Fortuner are useful
Plus paddle shifters are usually not even used although would have been a good addition
In Sorento you get panoramic sunroof lumber support android auto and apple carplay 3.5L V6 engine and wireless charger at a cheaper price plus as I said 4x4 would have been needed if it was an off-roader fwd will be ok for v6

At least it is cheaper then Fortuner so it does compensate for being old gen IMO
But Fortuner isn’t any better either even it’s interior looks outdated compared to say MG HS or general new gen cars

Agreed. The new Fortuner honestly looks like a boat. Not the best looking car but its made for something else. That is for the off road.

Most people in Pakistan buy fortuner for only two reasons:
1. They need a 7 seater.
2. Show shaa

Ive seen people parking their Fortuners (other 4X4) in Naran and going on local jeeps to lake saiful malook. LoL

So yeah Sorento will sell good.

Yeah that’s the point no one really will ever use the off-road capability I myself have hardly ever even engaged 4 wheel drive in my Fortuner I use it at 2 wheel all the time
It’s only for 7 seater capacity and looks as it does have the Toyota suv looks
