This is me driving a 7 years old Prado on Deosai track back in 2010. Cracked a brand new tire on the way back, but it was hell of fun. I went on many off-road tracks after that. Don't know why people buy proper SUVs for show piece only.
The thread has gone quiet. Visited showroom today, Sorento looked just like a longer version of Sportage. Guys, any idea what's the ground clearance of Sorento? To me it looked exactly similar to Sportage.
It’s not very different to Sportage externally the ground clearance is about the same it’s just wider and longer
It is 7.3 inches.. 185.4-mm
Sportage is 6.8 inch.. 172.2-mm
The 2.2L CRDI is a treat to drive. Didn't drive the 3.5L, i think it was the 3.3L in Australia.
3.5L is also quite a treat to drive I have test driven it and it’s performance is better then any other locally manufactured car
Its a treat for your wallet as well
Activity level on this thread signifies the level of interest by public for Sorento. Not looking good.
Correct...very cold response to Sorento, confirmed by Kia dealerships
Sorento delivery starts late April and most probably May around Eid.
This is probably due to old shape of Sorento. I am sure results would have been better, had they launched 4th Generation instead.
It’s because no one has got Sorento yet once they receive it they will post more about itI am going to receive mine in may
yes unfortunately ... as much as I wanted this to be succesful i doubt it will now... i went to KIA ferozpur road for 1000 check up of my sportage... the sales guy said that response is really slow of sorento as no one seems to interested.... initially we got bookings but very few now.
I and many others told you it'll be a flop VAN.
You were not ready to accept it brother.
Ah well I was really excited for a new option in 7 seater market but in real its really outdated plus offers no value over sportage just two extra seats. It also heavily disappointed me
Its not a van at all. It looks way more better in person
Predicted this wayyy back in September when the initial rumors started

It's a Van and Kia imports it under commerical scheme. Its available in 7, 8 and captain seats configuration BUT anything under 10 seats would mean the same Carnival will cost 3 to 4 times what it cost now. 70% duty versus 414% duty.
