Want to know about Kia Sorento market segment. Do people like this car? What is market rate? Demand in market ?

There is NO demand for Sorento. It stands as a flopped van type thing.

wrong price. it should have stayed 6.5ish to be a massive hit. same will go for sonata if they dare go above 6.5.

pakistani market is dead straight,

1.anything abouve 4.5 million is not civic any more, its those SUV caricatchers (crossovers)
2. any thing above 7.5 is fortuner.
anything in middle has to be really reliable and thats why we have vigo/trd shit being sold.

Personally I think sorento would have been an amazing option back in 2016-2020
Now it’s interior is too outdated

And it doesn’t provide anything much of value over the main crossovers

Despite all this I believe it’s a good vehicle with impressive build quality

you know what; pakistanis are so slave, that whenever a new car is about to come, they would add up a couple of million to its original worth and start posting on forums. aray bhai, atleast tell the people who are reading these the price which is in accordance to US or inda. chawal see garri hu ge and pak wheel enthusiast will say 20 million just like that.

The car might be good performance, comfort wise but looks like a van and outdated.
I wonder how much Lucky guys spent on this product just to see it struggling.

All the critics who do not hold positive views are posting their personal disliking without any substantial argument. Their entire argument is based on their personal likes and dislikes without ever having owned one.
I wonder if they are trolling for other car manufacturer whose sales have taken a dent?

noooo..... recently a family memeber bought fortuner, and we compared all the options, like 3.0 trd around 7 million, sorento 7.0 million and fortuner pre facelift 7.9 million. sorento doesnt really stand a chance in long term. had the base been 6.5ish, it would have been a best buy. but as we all know, there is more push for MGs then sorento. i even went to luckyone kia showroom and no way it was inspiring. even the interior is likely rated to be 2/10. just compare the interior feel with Fortuner or trd...it has no kick. the road presence is also not of 7 million ( which is why 90% of pakis are investing.)

moral: the road presence should match the price. thats why sonata will fail if it goes a penny beyond 6.5.

So I have started to see sorentos in Lahore. Mostly 2.4 FWD. Also 2.4 FWD deliveries pushed back till Oct 2021 where as other two variants till July 2021.
Many deliveries are coming in showroom as well as yesterday I went for sportage recall I saw quite many sorentos being delivered.
I think 2.4 FWD will do well while other variants will struggle. In 7 million its quite a good option with good features.
