The hardest part of keyless sytem installation was to get the wire in the door through the actual harness. it was tricky but dexter did a good job. Now i know it will last long and wore cut up will not be an issue, like i faced previously

I just got new clutch plate pressure plate and clutch bearing + fry wheel bearing... i got them from Imran autos pindi and they gave me the whole kit of Seko its a korean brand... all four things costed me 3400 plus i got the pressure adjusted from akbar engineering in saddar they took 600 so in total the kit costed me 4000 Rs... is the price ok and i hope the result is good i will get my car tommorow when every thing is done... i wanted to get the genuine clutch kit but they were telling that it would cost around 7.5 k so i decided to go for the korean one...

N yeah i m currently using NGK platinum plugs (1 tip)... the performance was good but i have heard that boch super 4 work perfect in spectra...

dude my car is 45000 km done in 1.5 years... this also includes my 6 or 7 tours of lahore on motorway with mostly maintained speed of 160 km/hr and i also touched 190 once... well it wuznt mainly the reason as my mechanic told me tht the period of 2 years tht my car has been standing in the factory had made the pressure plate hard which wrecked the whole clutch...
i would post some pics of the old cluth plate if i cud get it... even the mechanic was horrified by its condition and wuz telling that i dunno how u have managed to drive so fast with this clutch...

nywayz yeah the bosch super 4 tips cost around 1200...

hi guys i know Spectra is a good car and it's cheep due to not much resale value. but my question is from where can i get the body kit for my car and for how much?? (front,bak,sides) or do i have to get is made?? still how much expense am i looking at and what place does it good?? in Lahore or Islamabad because i'm in Sialkot.

The dealership in Islamabad also uses SEKO brand clutch plates if the customer do not want to put originals and they work good. Price is also good

Bosch super 4 work good as heat range is more or less same as stock plug but spark performance is better. tried and tested, model code is FR78X

BTW, clutch failure at 45Kms sounds too early.

thnx bhai... yesterday my car wuz assembled and today i went to i-9 workshop to get it tuned i took the bosch super 4 spark plugs which costed me 800 Rs... the end result is tremendous mashallah! the drive wuz never so smooth with clutch so soft now...

N about the early clutch failure... according to the mechanics the two year period at factory when the car kept standing is the main cause...

What was the symptom of clutch failure that you were encountering? Did you have it checked before you decided to replace the whole assembly?

dude symptoms to bohat thay including the heavy pickup... plus when i tried to push the car hard in first gear the clutch slipped... nywayz i also got it checked n then went for the change and mashallah now i can feel a gr8 gr8 difference in the overall drive...

n abt the rigorous uphill road, yeah i have the expirience quiet alot i wud say... my car wuz f9 but u have to take care of deep bumps cuz of the lower ground clearance from the front...

I actually went to Ayubia last weekend. The car performed fine at all times except the slope that leads to the PTDC motel there. Although it is a very steep slope, I had previously taken my Santro there without a problem. Spectra just refused to climb. I had to ask the passengers to get off and then climb the slope with some momentum.

I have taken the car to Pir Suhawa multiple times without a problem and went to Thandiyani a few weeks back without a problem as well. This episode sort of dampened my spirits for the car

Uphill climbing performance is not examplry on this car. momentum is the key. Torque numbers are average and its concentrated at high rpms so driving skills matter as well

Yeah, I guess at the end that's how I managed to get the car to the top, revving high and giving it that push at high RPM every so often. But that has an adverse effect on the clutch plate, as far as I know. It did start to smell.

hmm true ... its a decent car have had one for the last 3 years. However, i guess at the end of the day it ratings depend entirely on consumers....a nd lets face it our little spectras dont get much respect in fact i ve seen that the kia...classic has made a better name than the spectra. I remmember that banks would refuse to finance Kias and Hyundais in the USA.... so whatever it is.... but there is no doubt these babies dint make much of a name.
n yes drives a whole lot better than any car at that price.
I bought mine for 380,000 its an 02 with Cng (installed later open market).

I am a fan of Kia vehicles. Our family has two Kia Prides, still going strong... I am planning to go for a Kia Spectra.. Can any one give any idea what would be a reasonable price range for a good conditioned Spectra (CNG fitted). From Pak wheel posts I can gather that the upper Cap for Spectra price is 3.50 K.
