KIA Sportage Odometer shutdown

If you open the fuse box inside the bonnet of a Kia Sportage, there is a clip used to take out the fuses, inside the the car, there's another fuse box below the steering wheel on the right side.

Inside it, on the 3rd column from the left, the 2nd fuse is the odometer fuse, remove it and the odometer turns off.

After that, we can drive the car for how much we want without the car's milage going up.

This is a huge fault in Kia's production!

I know a dealer who does this thing often when taking delivery's of brand new cars from different cities. He buys them, tempers with the ecu, drives them all the way here to lahore and then sells on own money…. mostly Toyotas.
Although a very negligible mileage is put on cars from the outstation showrooms till lahore but a WRONG IS A WRONG.

When we stayed for 2 yrs in Pakistan, we bought a brand new Altis in 2007 when it came out. Beige with automatic trans in Sahiwal. The dealer in Faisalabad was the one with stock. They drove it from Faisalabad to Sahiwal, hooked it up to their computer....put the odometer reading back to 0, and gave us the keys

Who knew how many more Kms it had before that trip. We were talking to the dealer in Faisalabad a few months later, they had a 'brand new' Camry there that they did the same thing to.

Bro every car being sold by car showrooms has a reversed meter 100%.

Those in a habit of haram kamai, will do anything to make money.
