I do agree black is the hardest to maintain but bro .. silver is by far the easiest colour to maintain and swirls marks are least visible in silver.

Silver is the easiest to maintain .even easier than white.
It ages very well and hides most of the swirls.

White gets pale.
And Black....well it starts to show swirls after 2 3 cleaning sessions.

Its your opinion which i dont agree with owning a sliver car at the moment. Let us agree to disagree. A little dust on silver makes it look as if you havent washes your car for ages while its different for say white.
Secondly if you have have to do a touch up paint, silver is usually the hardest to match. Again my opinion. Feel free to disagree

I own 2 silver cars.

In my opinion:
1-White looks the best and easiest to maintain.
2-Black looks stunning but hardest to maintain.
3-Silver comes at 3rd place. It is easy to maintain, my personal experience and looks good as well.

All the above colors have good resale as well. Rest is your choice but you have to compromise on resale value if you go beyond these colors.

Especially this part, the off-roading part lol. I tried to drive up to Kalam with my family in June, last year when the road was really bad. And nearly grenaded the sensitive DCT. But yes, it's a really good car and is perfect for what it is.

after spending 5 million on your car I don't think that maintenance of the exterior color should be the deciding factor, bas subha ke kapra hi lagana paray ga koi bari baat nahi he. I think you should get the color that pleases your eyes the most, you are paying this much for your own pleasure you should enjoy it to the fullest. I booked my Sportage in cherry black ( hard to maintain but its eye candy )

You can get a nearly brand new Vezel for the price of a Sportage. Very well appointed, with low miles on the clock. And it will probably easily outlast the Sportage too. Oh and Vezel's are Hondas. Therefore, the engines won't blow up lol.

Not if you don't drive it like a maniac. People try and off-road in their little Honda vezel crossovers and simply don't know how dual clutch transmissions work. As a result, they blow them up and then blame the manufacturer. Honda has some very clear guidelines regarding these transmissions use. But yeah, a vezel is better in most aspects, compared to a sportage. Except, space. Honda+ Japanese build quality will always trump whatever the k pop people can bring to the table.

You can give your opinion in a mature manner. Vezel and fit both have well known faults in the dct transmission and all of them have had recalls. Most that come to Pak are faulty transmissions that never got fixed in those recalls.

Yes Kia had engines blown up in USA but none of that applies now specially to Kia Pakistan cars they're selling so it won't blow up.

But the DCT in vezel can certainly fail in many cases.

It has advantage of initial torque n power, yes.

No, the DCT won't fail unless you learn how to use it properly. As for recalls for DCT, those can be remedied simply by corresponding the last recall dates with the recall stickers on the door jamb. For each recall. And as for engines not blowing up in the pkdm Sportage, Care to shed some light on the whole host of problems, other than lack of parts that afflict the sportages being sold here??? Or did you believe the tripe Kia gave you about the "superior elite" crossover they're selling?

Look what happened to a Kia Seltos on a test drive in India.. Reminds me of what happened to a guys sportage few days ago in northern areas where front rim brust out. This looks similar to that... Could it make his stance stronget that it was manufacture s fault?

There is no comparison of vezel and sporatge. One is JDM and hybrid but you cannot have it new and buying used JDM has many issues like meter reverse and manipulated auction sheets plus new generation cars are so much complicated that our mechanics here are not equipped to handle.
Sportage is made in Pakistan and out of thousands they sold in Pakistan few of them got manufacturing faults so HOPEFULLY they will rectify thse faults and improve parts and service network with pasage of time. (They shud otherwise they will fail the brand)
When Honda Pakistan bring HYBRID vezel then we can compare it with sportage even then sporatge is comes in category of CRV all over the world not HRV wch is vezel's non hybrid cousin.
CRV is selling by Honda with price tag of 12 million u xan buy 2 sportage and one alto in tht price.

Your article was quite informative.However its pointless discussing cars which are way too expensive for an average even higher middle class home.Honda CR-V I believe would cost around 12 million.Yes discussing 6th vs 7th generation City is a valid topic.Here Honda Atlas has messed up big time.Two big 3S dealers one in Karachi and other in Islamabad started to scratch their heads when I discussed the matter with them.They said its not in their control.That was the time when BR-V had just been launched.They could have easily brought in 6thy generation at that stage rather than introduce the"School Mom" car, BRV.

Well written article and it is food for thought for Honda Atlas R and D department. I might prefer PKDM CRV on sportage as better brand equity and reliability.
