All RHD cars are aligned like this from the factory (the caster angle on the passenger side wheel is slightly different) to account for road crown and also to prevent car from crashing into oncoming traffic if the driver falls asleep or is passed out drunk or has a siezure etc.

This same complaint was there in the late 90s and early 2000s Honda civics - it seemed that people had no idea that cars are aligned like that and blindly trusted small alignment shops (heel lanemantt ustaad) with out of calibration machines who assume a car alignment means "wheels straight" - car should drive straight forever.

AssalamuAlaikum fellow Pakwheelers! I’ve found this platform to be quite informational, hence coming up with the following question. I’m considering buying a Sportage FWD, but I have kept Vezel (top of the line) as on option too. I like Sportage’s shape, but features wise, Vezel has an edge over the former. If y’all could give your suggestions as to which one I should go for and why? And are there any known faults that still haven’t been addressed in Sportage e.g. rattling sound from the muffler?

Also, what’s the update on the KIA Sorento? Are we going to see the 4th/latest Gen come to Pakistan?

I think vezel's time has come and gone. It doesn't best the sportage in any respect, except maybe in fuel efficiency, and has technical faults of its own (like dct failing etc).

It was a good option 4-5 years back when it had no competition but now with all the crossovers available or soon to be available (sportage, tucson, proton x70, sorento, possibly seltos), i think you should keep your options open.

P.S. For now, the rumor is 3rd gen sorento, will be clarified towards the end of the year.

Vezel is Honda and Sportage is Kia.

In what respects are you asking for a comparison between the two? And please don't mind, but is there really any comparison here?

Pros for Vezel:

1. Amazing fuel economy
2. Much higher power/fun to drive/pick

Pros for Sportage:

1. softer/smoother suspension, not as hard as Vezel
2. A bit bigger in size
3. Local support (but parts aren't readily available, and also super expensive)
4. Brand new

Overall, Sportage is a bit ahead as it will be new, has local support.

But if fuel economy and good acceleration are your top criteria, then Vezel is better. Be prepared to spend bucks on maintenance/parts tho.

Both are NOT OFFROADING vehicles.. just meant for city drive.. crossovers.

yeah, but still a bit better than trying to find USED parts in scrapyards.. majority of the time not available.

One can hope that Kia will improve their parts availability.

Plus, being new also means relatively trouble free couple of years.

That's your approach, you can always get new parts, so parts dealers offer that service now.

Yeah... That's what we have read so far... Leaky windscreens, blown up engines, damaged cv joints, noisey mufflers. And you know the worst part, even the bloody 3s dealer isn't ordering parts for you, one is better off running a Volvo xc90 than a Kia sportage.

And till where our dream of hoping Kia will understand the customer and cater to their needs is concerned, that won't happen unless there is some serious competition in the same segment, which isn't happening...

It doesnt need competition,

customer can drag them in court or even shame them publicly (very easy nowadays) - Use platform like this forum too.

One of two things might happen.

1 they actually fix themselves
2 they quieten the owner with some money or gift (knowing KLM shady practices, this is more plausible)

in real world, I dont expect them to have any inventory of spare parts even 5 years from now, They are trying the smoke and mirrors game of "supreme luxury" and "ket canvurturr safaai" to fool customers.

First thing us availability and next is price. Once auto parts dealers start importing KIA parts plus scrap people getting used parts as it is 5 years old model then hopefully things will be better and price will settle down too. Not much hopeful from KIA motors in this regard.
Vezel is much better ride then sportage in many aspects but unfortunately you cannot get it new and used cars are like gamble and due to complicated systems and sensors if you get bad car then it is really hard to diagnose and fix.

I have seen people preferring zero meter small cars over five year old sedans, just because of 'being new car it shall not give trouble for some years'.

What is the use of buying a new car if your muffler starts rattling within months? Do you really know what the next surprise is coming for you with this level of reliability?

but unfortunately you cannot get it new and used cars are like gamble and due to complicated systems and sensors if you get bad car then it is really hard to diagnose and fix.

its not difficult for us workshop owners as we buy/pay for the repair data and also tools, the usual problem is the owner of the car who chokes/gasps when they hear prices of repair.

Pakistani customers want maintenance cost of CD70 no matter what badge is on car.

Hello brothers. I am very satisfied owner of Honda Civic 2016 9th gen. I visited Kia Motors yesterday to examine Kia Sportage Alpha and decided to get it during coming week.Please recommend me is it good decision to buy Alpha. ? OR should I go for other options? well if you have decided to go for Sportage then indulge a little more and at least go for FWD. This Alpha business is a stupid gimmick and you will not have the same resale value.

Better to get a new Civic or Grande instead of Alpha. Get atleast FWD if going for sportage otherwise there are better options in sedan

Alpha is good if you dont wanna stretch your budget. Useful thing missed is VSC and TRC rest is just upgrade items and add ons. Mechanical parts are same all across platform
Don't worry about resale if you wanna keep it for more then 1 year as we always have people in market with specific budget for specific car.
If you can wait for 12th gen corolla it will certainly a better option in my opinion but buying current obseleted grande is useless
Civic you are driving and it has same engine in 10th gen. Unless you wanna go for turbo in my opinion you wont get big difference in ur current ride and tenth gen except shape.
Sportage is new in market you can give it a try and best is FWD but no need to strech ur budget beyond your comfort zone and buy alpha instead.
Thats my opinion with my own experiences and circumstances. You must test drive sportage and decide.

Thank you for the quick response from you guys, i really appreciate, I decided now to go for the FWD as per recommendation of all brothers. addition of 500,000 is not big deal. now i have two questions please:
1. I do not like hard suspension of Honda, Is there significant difference in riding Sportage?
2. I am very confused that which one is the best color. Currently i have white color civic. I have no driver or helper to maintain the car on daily basis. I clean my car by my own. My choices are white,black,red and spark silver.

Silvers and Blacks are the hardest to maintain as per my personal experience. But than again one should not compromise on his personal preference just because they are hard to maintain.
On a personal note i like the sportage in red.
