One of my friend sold his showroom delivery Black sportage FWD at 130K premium in Karachi some 5 days back.

I also have a fortuner and its brakes have a very good bite so i don't think being an SUV is the only factor, having said that I am an owner of the alpha variant now since past 15 days and it's brakes are a lot better than the awd variant I test drove every time. I also had to apply e-brakes at 120 on motorway and the car stopped quite confidently so no issues but I still think brakes could further be improved as the bite is a bit less compared to other cars

I bought Alpha from KIA port qasim karachi without any own and ready delivery , they also gave full tank of fuel, top cover, shades and mats ( now I don't know how much of it is actually included in all the deliveries but the sales man pitched that they are giving all of this for free while they charge elsewhere).

My civic x had all the above mentioned issues plus it was UG and in that variant if a passenger kept his arm on the centre arm rest it used to make squeaking sound in bumps checked this issue in all variants at the showroom and I came to know that the cloth variant did not have this issue while the leather wrapped ones had them due to the two surfaces of leather rubbing against each other in the center arm rest. A very detailed review btw

Is Alpha readily available on showroom without delay on full payment?
What do u guys recommend. Alpha or FWD. Any key feature missing ?

Yes alpha is readily available no own
But fwd is better for just 4-5 lacs more you get parking sensors hill assist panoramic sunroof led headlights etc
There is a reason why alpha isn’t selling enough fwd gives a lot more features for some more money

But Panoramic sunroof is....uumm.... Tricky. Any stone hitting and 4 to 5 lacs gone. Moreover, I heard that Alpha doesn't have stability control and FWD/AWD has it. What about that?

Yup there are some more features like vsc electronic handbrake and traction control plus panoramic sunroof is a pretty nice addition not essential but looks real nice and I personally have kept quite a few cars that have them and of course there is a chance of it being hit by a stone but can’t the windshield or windows also break if a stone hits them ?
I think it won’t be a problem keeping a panoramic sunroof it would be just like a normal sunroof but a bit bigger

And another difference is 17 inch rims where fwd has 18 inches rims other then that there is also an advantage of alpha over fwd as it has a spare alloy rim along with awd however fwd does not have spare alloy rim

If you really want to jump onto Sportage, get FWD.. forget about Alpha.

Alpha has way more features missing in relation to its price they should have kept the price even lower then the have right now

In the same price it has many features morev than civic and Corolla as well though

Civic corolla have better features too like leather seats sunroof traction control etc it’s overall not the ideal choice if you want a Sportage definitely invest in a fwd you can even buy a mg ZS if lower budget in mind as it has some better features as well

I think Kia themselves don't want people to buy aloha. If it had just the stability control alpha was probably the best buy in all Sportage variants.
But by taking that out they have limped it. They could have put steel rims and given us VSC and that would have been better.
Better yet take that friggin panorama off the fwd and make another trim for 200k less, they charge u 400k for a replacement sunroof I hear.

well and it is without VSC, the importance of it in crossovers is way more important. for me that's the main issue with Alpha .
