The next generation Sportage NOW officially teased.

The 5th generation Sportage [ NQ5], now officially teased via shadow images. Official reveal within next few weeks.
Like predecessors , the upcoming Sportage will share its platform , mechanical and other components with the Tucson and this time with the recently revealed 4th generation Hyundai Tucson [ NX4] in the overseas market. [ PKDM Tucson is a 3rd generation and non identical twin of Current PKDM Sportage ]
Expect similar footprint as of Tucson. Although Tucson and Sportage have same DNA, they follow their own brand identity. Expect next generation of Tiger nose grill, similar / influenced from current newer KIA models like as we see on the new K5, Sorento. New headlights and taillights.
New C pillar and Side view mirrors also comes down to door panels with glass at A pillar for improved visibility. On side profile the beltline now slops upwards going towards rear.
We can expect a complete overhaul on front while looks like evolution of the 4th generation on the rear . Same goes for interior, expect a complete newer modern interior. [ the current is extremely boring and dull ] , we can see a curved glass surface as instrumental panel and obviously expect a full digital display on a fully loaded top of the line version.
Sales are expected to start later part of year / fall of 2021 in US and Korea . It will join other regions 2022 onwards. Personally, I dont expect the next gen Sportage in Pakistan before fall of 2022 / early 2023 so, PKDM Sportage has still couple of years of life left.
Keep in mind, the next generation of Sportage is on a new platform and would require a major upgrades to the assembly line. In other words the new generation is not a plug-n-play into existing line so, it will for sure take some time for us to experience the new generation locally after the international launch.
