Fazal Bhai, I know this is not the right place to ask since this is a Sportage thread. But are you sure about the Picanto's reveal in August? Asking because I was going for Alto but if this is the case then I should wait for Picanto. And any idea about the price range?

Picanto unveiling in august & deliveries in october were announced when sportage was unveiled/announced.

As per Sunil Manj (last Pakwheels weekly) picanto's introductory price could be around 1.6 million which will later be bumped up to around 2.0 million.

Even though kia and Hyundai have upped their game and have come long way but they are still not as reliable as honda and toyota. The reason their sales have gone up over the past decade is because they price their cars lower and offer more features compared to honda and toyota.

Rest of the points i totally agree on...

There is no arguing that these Japanese car makers have screwed us over almost always for years when it comes to after sales service, quality, safety, customer service and the list goes on...
Just look at the features and quality they have brought at a competitive price even in the hardest of conditions...
I wish them all the best...

KIA can only survive if they come with a competitive price and features which lure the customer...
1.6 to 1.8 mil would be very good bracket... they have to remain clear below Cultus (aka Crap)

If they price Picanto right it would be a hot cake in the market...

Our buyers also have evolved over the past decade due to the Japanese imports... now they want features & comfort among other things... so i still would say that “KIA you Price it right with loaded features and you ppl will get کھڑکی توڑ response

The ESC Button location is normally above the tailgate button when we see various variants of Sportage from overseas. On the display units before the launch or pre facelift model at dealerships, the ESC button was present but in this picture, seems its relocated.. Can you check where the ESC button is located if in case the ON/OFF button is provided..

Your picture has not captured the entire right side of steering area so wanted to know. Or the ON/OFF option , in other words maybe the feature is there but the button is not there at all ??

Esc can be turned on or off from instrument cluster controlled by steering buttons
Not by the physical ecs button

What features are these? Everyone keeps talking about these features, but I haven't seen any yet. The only noticeable one is that it's AWD, but then you're paying 55 lac for it. What else?

Quoting scotty kilmer, then you should go through his recent videos in which he has repeatedly said that KIA today is not the same KIa from 10yrs ago, they have improved engineering and are more reliable than Hyundai, FIAT, Chevy, Chrysler or GM but in terms of reliability and build quality nothing beats a toyota or Honda !
Thats what Scotty kilmer said. Now coming over to Pakistani markey you have Honda and Toyota with undoubtedly reliable and bullet proof engines but they give us those in vehicles that are stripped off features. So, i'd go for KIA for my next purchase keeping in mind the better package and for terms of reliability, not many ppl cross the 100000km mileage mark here in Pakistan and any decent engine can last upto 100000km with proper care !
