I think Alpha is a really nice car. It was recently delivered to me as I mentioned earlier. Things like LED lights, automatic handbrake and a sunroof mean little to me, personally. It was quickly delivered and I find it a really comfortable ride

Are LED bulbs of FWD/AWD variants available for upgrading the headlights on Alpha (KIA OEM)? If not, which HID brand would you recommend. Can source from abroad as well.

Go for PIAA HID kit from abroad. However, remember one thing. You will lose your warranty is you do such a project. Honestly speaking, the actual throw and visibility on the road of Alpha lights is better than than of other two variants being yellow and having lower Kelvin value. Specially, the high beam of FWD/AWD is actually disappointing if you ask me. I have adjusted the headlights myself. When I got the delivery they were way too high. But despite that, far visibility is very much compromised

So the thing is, i dont drive very much especially because my university is closed due to covid so my Sportage is only driven 5000 miles and the 10000 mile service is already due so should i get an oil change again because i got my first oil change at 3000 miles because of the same reason that i dont drive that much

The only advantage of led bulbs will be that it’ll look more cool and the price you will pay is that you will loose your 4 year warranty and get poor visibility at night… halogens are pretty old technology but the ones you have on your Sportage are the best you can get in international market.

Aren't headlight bulbs simple plug and play? How will the warranty be voided if there is no electrical work or wiring?

They won't. Why would they promote anything from which they aren't getting profit? Classic example is the shitty Shell oil they are putting in Sportage. I have always used Liqui Moly and other high end oils in my previous cars, but now I'm stuck with these thieves who are bent upon selling Shell oil to us

HIDs are not plug n play they require little additional wiring for power regulation and cooling
Which is why whenever any car catches fire the first question people ask is, “Were the headlights genuine?”
The bulbs don’t catch fire the wiring melts because of the intense heat and the power regulator malfunctions.

That's messed up, many other dealerships (Honda for example) let you bring your own oil. Is this policy company wide or at your specific dealership?

Company wide. I checked from multiple dealerships. You can not put any other oil than the ones they have, and what they have is shit ..... Shell 5W30, the one in blue packing

I had my 5000 km inspection yesterday and the oil was changed. Plus, their crazy part prices baffle me

Cabin air filter, which is available for 1200 max in market , they are giving for 5950.... That's like 5 times the price....I mean, what's the rocket science in a cabin air filter that they charge for 6000.... Utterly stupid

Someone also quoted brake pads front and rear at around 40k rupees which is quite ridiculous. I wonder if anyone has worked out the full cost of company maintenance over 4 years, would be a useful calculation in evaluating whether it is even worth it to maintain the company warranty (especially for those who don't use their cars heavily and are restricted mostly to city use).
